How good does Valencia speak English? Doesn't seem too fluent. But hey! Who cares? Because he's fookin' amazing at the language of football.
I get the impression he doesn't talk. I think I read that's he's pretty good friends with Javier and Dave. They both probably get Hernandez to translate everything for them.
Just one negative why oh why play Jones in midfield, was Cleverley fit ? I'm sorry but Jones in midfield for me does not work, I think SAF saw a couple of lung busting runs against Bolton away early doors and thought yes he'd do a job, fact is the lad does not have the savvy to play there although without doubt he is a good prospect.
I've seen the match video again and again. I confess that I'm not a fan of Welbeck, but what Wazza did yesterday was cheeky. For an instance, Wazza was thinking 'What the hell is Danny doing, showing his arse to the ball' and Wazza clearly didn't anticipate that Welbeck was going for a clever back-flick. He was just dumbstruck for a moment and the ball was just two steps ahead of him - he could have easily reached for it, but he was just distracted due to Welbeck's technique for a fine instant. In order to cover up the mess, he spread his arms and started firing Dannyboy, which was followed up by Fergie's fury. I stress again that I'm not a fan of Welbeck, but that was one hell of a pass.
i think jones is better defensivly than cleverly, and thats why SAF started with him. he wanted some one to cover the defence and let carrick play a bit more up the pitch. still , he did his main job to cover defence, but we didnt create as much (in final third)until giggs and young came in.
Mate, given the amount of praise we heap on Rooney, he should have easily received the pass. It was a tricky pass but not an unreadable one. Wazza should have atleast attempted to receive the pass. He didn't take a step forward.
Cheers Maco, I don't have to keep an eye on my lad and the pubs he drinks in when he goes to away games thanks to you.
Fergie said before the game that he was concerned about Rovers' set pieces so he wanted Jones in there as an extra body to help deal with them. They've scored more goals from set pieces than any other team in the Premier League this season. He probably also wanted to give Jones a start at his former club as it tends to bring out the best in top players.
