Widely reported in Spain yesterday. Probably not true but will you welcome him back if true or possible? Give Me Football
Without a shadow of a doubt with arms wide open as far as they can stretch.... I always thought he made the wrong move going to Madrid when he did, i thought at the time we were building on a team that could have been the way Barcelona are at the minute and dominated European football for 4-5 maybe 6 years and once he had won a few more premier leagues, a few FA cups and a possible 2 or 3 more champions leagues then moved to Madrid at the age of 29-30 and seen out his last years at his dream club. Thats my opinion anyway.
Missed him, he was a legend with his goals and performances. And i agree he went to Madrid maybe 2 -3 season too early
Our wings are fine, we don't need him. It'd mean the end of Valencia, and I don't want that to happen.
The answers may be quite different in the beginning of the season with "no thanks, we have moved on" etc.
Does a bear **** in the woods? Is the pope Catholic? Is Dualta gay? Ahhh you get the point. Would kill to have him back here, but it won't happen I'm afraid.
Oh, I also remember pundits and fans alike were saying how dependant and one-dimensional we were, how Rooney was then liberalised to emerge as a top scorer etc, remember? This thread is not so much about the probability or possibility of his return but more about how do fans feel now at our current status of things. With the reports in Spain yesterday, I just wonder aloud.
Not gonna happen, obviously. But it would be a dream come true if he came back. We definitely need the HUGE amount of talent he brings, and of course, the staggeringly great self-confidence he has. That's where we're found lacking now. So, please, Cristiano, come back to United!
He doesn't have to be deployed on the wings. He can play CF quite happily. Valencia would be brilliant for Ronaldo with all his assists.
Nobody that we currently have on the wings is fit to clean Ronaldo's boots as a player. Definitely not Valencia. Nani is the best winger we've got and he's like Ronnie-Lite. Besides, Ronaldo plays more centrally now anyway, there is no way that he can be defined as a conventional winger. Hypothetically if we signed him we wouldn't need to sell any wingers. I would welcome Ronaldo back. It would be fantastic for it to happen. I don't think that there's a hope in hell though. He could conceivably come back one day (I expect rumours to persist until he's in his mid-30's like with Beckham if it doesn't). But there would need to be a big change in terms of the club's transfer policy and/or something big would have to change at Madrid (ie. massive fallout with the club or manager). Both are possible. But I won't hold my breath waiting on it to happen. Ronaldo IS three world class players.
I'd welcome him back, I'm sure most in their right mind would. It's not like he made a huge song and dance over the whole thing, he stated his dream, we gave it him. There was no haggling over wages or stalling in the move to make things harder and I'm sure both sides of the deal(United and Ronaldo) would be open to his return. Huge stumbling block would be Madrid letting him go and the fee of his return.
