    exactly

the guy´s ego is too big for us in the meantime. I believe hell stay in Madrid until he has won something big with them....what might need a while because there´s Barca in their league. :D Then off to Italy.

    Viva Ronaldo, Viva Ronaldo,
    Running down the wing,
    Hear Unted sing,
    Viva Ronaldo!

Welcome back any time with open arms. One of the best players I have ever had the joy to witness at Old Trafford.

Never going to happen though :(

Without a shadow of a doubt, this guy changed Manchester United. He went to Madrid a few season too early, he should not of really left us until next summer imo.

The amount of difference he would make would be unbelievable. Fergie adores him and if it was on I don't think Fergie would hesitate.

Faster than Michael Owen could pick a new shirt number!

The groan from Adidas would only be drowned out by the fapping over at Nike....

Would take him back in a heartbeat, but this is all fanatical as this would never happen.

Besides, the money could have been used for 2 world class midfielders and a decent striker imo.

JtheRed.... he has left us because he thought that for his career its the best to join that glamour club. After growing up at United he wanted to make the next step and saw Real Madrid as a better club than us! Don´t say he did not....if he had seen United on the same level he would have stayed. Like Giggs all the years or Rooney. He has chosen the hype and the circus there over his past life.

He was a star at United already, but that move made him a superstar! The stadium was full when he was presented, it was live on tv!!! Madness. Bizare. A club like United is too..." normal" for CR, as he loves the attention so much. In his best years he won´t return, never.

This is a just a little bit over the top imo. Everything you say have some truth in it except the fact that he saw Madrid as a better club than United. He had already stated his desire to play for Madrid since he was a little boy and his mother also said that one day before she died, she wanted to see him put on the white shirt. Sir Alex knew this and even though he was immensely prized at United, he is also a human being, just following his dreams. Players may be obligated to a club, but if their heart is set elsewhere, there is little we can do to stop them. Something similar to Zidane coming out of retirement to play for France in WC 06.

haha. I don´t believe that ****, I am sure some at Madrid told him to say something like this. Sounds good for the fans. Benzema made the same comments. What do little boys in Portugal or France know about Real Madrid? You dont care about it, you just play in that age.

When we signed Ronaldo....was Real not interested in him?

when i was a little boy i knew all about Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus etc etc. There was football magazines aimed at younger fans i used to read that gave out info on the european leagues. An i am older than Ronaldo by 10 years+. I was a die hard Red but always kept an eye out for Barca and hoped they did well...and i would always hope we destroyed them if we met, but as a very young lad i did certainly know about them. Granted we have a different culture to Spain but with Portugal and Spain being neighbours then i certainly can see that being true. Im not saying it is but it is more than plausable especially how huge the name Real Madrid is.

You don't think it's possible for him to have wanted to play for Madrid since he was a young kid? They've ALWAYS been a huge club and with it been so close to Portugal, it's obviously plausible that he wanted to play for Madrid since he was a young kid. Just like almost every young Irish boy wants to play for United, Liverpool etc.

He also left after he had done EVERYTHING with united. He'd won everything he could have won as a team and individually here, and he needed a new challenge, you don't see many players these days stay at one club like Ronaldo did, and that's without winning everything they could win and without a huge club like Madrid coming in for you and offering your club a world record transfer fee.

If he thought Madrid was a step up he wouldn't have had so much praise for United and Sir Alex as he has said even today. So you're way off IMO.
