It's his first season there, loads of players transfer and flop or don't play excellent straight away. No one expected him to hit the floor as fast as this.
He stands out in a league full of technically amazing players but he's a league above them.
I doubt he was feared prior to him coming, respected yes, but feared... probably not.

    Ronaldo breaks Real Madrid record 24 September 2009 - 10:23 | Sport.co.uk

Madrid megastar Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player in the club's history to score in his first four league games. The former Manchester United star scored again last night, along with fellow new recruit Kaka, to beat Villarreal 2-0 to make it four goals in four La Liga appearances, putting to bed any suggestions that he has struggled to adapt to life in the Spanish capital.

Ronaldo moved to Bernabeu from Manchester United this summer in a world record £80 million deal.

He is just carrying on from where he left off in the EPL. And maybe even better now.

I don't follow ex-United players' progresses but don't know why I look out for his news (and goals) and always end up feeling a tinge of sadness. :(

£80 million suddenly seems so dirt cheap...

I had the good fortune to log off from MUT and catch that on TV. Awesome power and pace.

Every time I see him with such breathtaking display, I just feel sad that he is not doing it for us anymore.

I don't really, which is odd. I feel no hate or anger towards him. If he does well then good for him. He has my best wishes and I'm just glad I got to see him play and score in the flesh on numerous occasions. He was a joy to watch, though infuriating at times :D . Maybe when United start losing a few games, I'll begin to miss his goals etc..but for the time being I'm indifferent about it all. I don't even know if I want him to do well or not  maybe it's cos he's playing at Madrid I don't want him to do too well.

This is a fantastic read from Sponman red. It's how a lot of us feel about it all.

More or less what Jazz said, I'm happy for him if he does well and if Real
Madrid win trophies this year then I'm happy for Ronaldo as that's his dream.

9 goals in 7 games for him so far. It's pretty ridiculous. Wonder how many he will get this season :/

there was a theory going round that he also went to spain to show kaka and messi that he really is the best in the world and was suffering being double sometimes treble marked in the prem .

hope we draw them later on in the cl and sheasy or rafael keep him in their pocket all game !!

Looks like he has having another one of those seasons again. I recall a few here saying he would never emulate that 42 goal season he had for us, he's doing a bloody good job so far! The lad is just scoring for fun.

What kind of reception do you think he would get at OT?
I was thinking about it earlier and I reckon it would be great, the Viva Ronaldo's and the whole lot.
I hope we play them so we can give them a beating. We have beef with them and they deserve a spanking.

Surely he would get an great reception from us, although I suspect there might be a small minority who display their anger towards him.

I think he will be afforded the normal ot welcome for a player who played so well in his time with us --more so as he has handled himself well since going --unlike tevez . we were so miffed at him leaving as we all know how good he is -We should show class on his return .
