Been such a sad and tragic year for football
More so than ever before it seems.
Wow, insensitive much?
Must say the minute's silence at Old Trafford for him was impeccable.
why does this happen to so many young footballers? You should think they are young, they are powerful and fit.
rip to him
Absolutely tragic situation, his life story is also very upsetting its sad so many sad things can happen to one man.
Hopefully with recent events FIFA might bring in some sort of standardised heart screenings or something.
just saw the video, anyone else noticed how long it took for the ref to realize what was happening?
yeah, but what was heartbreaking was the way he kept trying to get up
Because these people are pushing their bodies to the absolute maximum to get the maximum out of themselves. I guess it's just too much for some bodies to take.
It's tragic because it's a direct result of the hard work they put in.
Hope a result of this whole episode is that new technologies are introduced to football to help treat these lads as soon as possible. Heard one Premier League club (can't remember who now) have introduced a state of the art piece of equipment in their stadium, I hope others follow suit and continue to innovate.
Blackburn, it's a new type of trolley that allows resucitation to continue whilst the player is being carted off.
Jesus, just after reading more about him...he had a really tough life
Also fair play to Di Natalie that is a real touch of class from him
