No thread for it? I'm surprised. It's too good to be mentioned in the other threads. Hands down, the finest and most mature superhero movie ever made. Nolan is a genius and a half, and Christian Bale is an enough reason for any Welshman to be proud about the shitty country, Wales.
I watched it in the cinema and I might go and watch it again tomorrow. Top class movie with top class twist and originality. Bane is for once an interesting character, unlike the Bane of the animated series and Schumacher's B&R, and he set a nice tone for the movie. The catwoman is as ever is full of sex appeal (Tho the pervert in me wished we had more shots of her juicy spandex ass)
My only complaints are the ending and the death of Bane. After all the screen time (possibly more than Batman) and all the focus, he dies that easily? Just a shot from Batman's Batpod?
I thought having Batman and Bruce die would have been much better. That would have been the best closure for such a trilogy, the man once regarded as a villain by his own people, sacrifices his life for the sake of his city. Other than that, it's one of the best movies I ever seen.

    Enjoyable film

Missed half the plot as I couldn't understand Baines voice though :l
Brilliant score though, I listen to it nearly everyday.

    BB is over rated.

I'm just messing. The Batman films are made out to be amazing, but they're about a 4/5 (Where as the rest of the world would rate them 7/5 ...

its funny, i watched Battleship last night, and if we start turning our nose up at work such as Nolans Batman franchise, then im afraid that turkey will all we'll be left with

appreciate people, dont try and be 'cool'... BB, TDK, and TDKR are exceptionally well crafted pieces of intelligent cinema

I'm sure there are people out there who think this 'Battleship' is a million miles better than all of the Batman series put together. Don't think people are hating on something because everyone likes it, when it could just be said persons opinion.

BB is average from a storyline perspective. I enjoy the character development more than the under laying storyline of cooking meth. I'm not saying that to deviate the norm, it's just what I think. I'm sure if the people in this thread actually went further than just saying 'both films are over rated' they would have their own good reasons for thinking that.

    The Dark Knight - 10/10

The Dark Knight Rises - 9/10

If they do another reboot I'll be furious, it's set up perfectly to carry the story on.

I need to see TDKR again, but I can't really see my opinion changing much.... Was a really good film - but you expect progression after TDK and it just wasn't there for me. ...

I meant cinematically, not in terms of the story.... It didn't really grip like TDK

I also found Bane grating - I liked the idea of an intelligent / cerebral thug, but the delivery just felt off to me.

Yeah I guessed as much, just thought I would tease.

I know what you mean about Bane. For me, it was just his voice. It was annoying and inaudible at times. But at the same point, you have to admit that he did feel like a proper super villian. I personally felt like he was in control through the whole movie and you couldn't see a way in which Batman would win. That doesn't happen to me too often.

The difference in the soundtracks is great too. You're probably familiar with the high suspense noise used to create tension in TDK, because the Joker was unpredictable. In this movie, from the music alone you can just tell Bane is a bad ass. It doesn't create suspense, more of a reflection of his domination. Good stuff.

If you really knit-pick there's a lot of minor flaws in the film but if you don't have incredibly high expectations for this film and just went in to be entertaining. It's one hell of a great batman movie.

I found it much easier to understand Bane on the second viewing. You kind of tune in to his voice after a while. The first half hour of my first sitting I was really struggling with his dialogue.

I understood Bane's voice from the first time. It's a huge shame that they changed his voice in the final cut.

    It was so much cooler.
