I loved the way he kissed the camera too at the end, that was quality!! Great finish, even better than the one against newcastle reserves considering the magnitude of the game.

I think wellbecks overall game is still better than macheda but finishing macheda seems more calm infront of goal. Wellbeck also took the ball down well and nearly scored too. Two strikers with potential at united! Whether they make it or not i dont know but its great to see and the feeling when he scored today, its hard to explain, its like winning a cup or something, i was going crazy lol.

I was there... was an unbelievable game. The crowd roared and went mad, but people have to be careful having a go at tevez, the fact Macheda was an unknown quantity to the villa defence helped him greatly. But in fairness to Macheda he played outstandingly and i think he has a bright future, especially if his reserve performances is are anything to go by, just hope we don't do another rossi esque mistake. Was saying to a mate wish we'd had rossi as 4th striker, but it was another Italian who came to the rescue. Shame Lee Martin didn't get on, because this is as bad an injury spell as we've had or are likely to have and if he can't get a game now he won't. Still Buzzing, i wasn't there in 93, but apparently it was a similar experience (though obviously today was not as good).

Ive seen him in a few reserve games and always thought he was quality in them and his finish today was just top quality

I think SAF really enjoyed that win.

I am not sure if we need tevez or another striker on the books with the young talent coming through. We can't go to mad yet as it is still very early but both wellbeck and macheda look to have some serious promise.
