Also, I'v been listening to a heap of Pavement today. They are pretty much the critic's darlings of the indie scene from the 90s and have been hugely influential; you should check them out. You're probably best the start with Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain.

Back on Porcupine Tree; next up you should try Fear Of A Black Planet, which is often considered to be their masterpiece.

Yeah I like Pavement, but I don't own any of their albums, but I should.

Fear of a Black Planet is a Public Enemy album. So, FOABP is really that good? I'm excited to listen to Voyage 34. I think I should just download all of their studio albums.

Ughh I just played a Neil Young song on my sound system, I'll probably spent the next 4 months doing nothing but listening to him.

What a huge waste of talent. This man was amazing songwriter and wrote some truly fantastic songs.

I ******* love Bruce Springsteen, but if there is someone who I enjoy more than Bruce, it's Neil Young. Now that's a discography that could you busy for decades.

Whoops, I meant ...Blank Planet. Most critics agree that it's their best album. It's certainly their most ambitious work.

You should definitely download a few Pavement albums. Like I said start with CR, CR, which is their most popular album, then move on to Brighten the Corners or Slanted and Enchanted and then the rest. They only put out 5 albums. You might Terror Twilight as it's a bit more folky.

You know my thoughts on Neil Young.

Someone I've been meaning to check out for a while now.

    Any good albums you suggest?

How folky? You mean Harvest/Nebraska style? I love folk.

Nah it's not that folky. It's just got a lot more folk elements in the songs compared to the other albums. There's a lot more use of the acoustic guitar and other touches.

In a good way. It's definitely their most mature album.

Neurosis are pretty interesting. I've never heard of them before.

Also, you said you were looking for some heavier stuff for your collection right? Get some Tool, Soundgarden, Mastodon and Deftones into ya.
