The only reason signing Young right now might make some sense (given our obvious defficiencies/priorities in cmf) is if there's a real possibility that Nani is on his way out - more likely his decision rather than Fergie's.

However, if it's a winger we need, I'll say it again, Charles Nzogbia would be a much better choice. Slower yes, but much more skilled, versatile and likely significantly cheaper.

I was the same for a while, but after thinking about it today I'd actually be pretty happy if we signed him. He's very lively and quick, has a good strike on him, is good with passing and crossing, is English and is very decent with set pieces. Valencia/Nani on one side and Young on the other is pretty tasty, and he can also play AM if Rooney is out.

The only thing that may possibly stop this transfer going through is if he wants to wear a snood

I don't rate him myself, prefer N'zogbia.
