But yeah i agree. I'm still shaking my head, how the f did Bale win that award. Nani was wayy better

So impressed by Nani yesterday..not just his brilliant goals either...he seems to have grown up...even tracking back and fighting to win the ball back for the team. Keep it up fella.

Krasić was alright, his first few months were pretty good, but since around late December to March he was average. Almost got found out by Serie A defenders. But it didn't help, that he didn't get a pre-season and was pretty knackered. He played in the world cup, and then played with CSKA in the summer and later joined Juve. Didn't get a summer rest, or a pre-season.

For me, the best thing I saw in Nani yesterday is what he didn't do. At no point in the game did he dive, feign injury or whine at the ref.

Seriously, if he has cut that out of his game, I will friggin love the guy.

I would agree he is in the top 5 in the world actually, but then one could argue the standard of wingers has declined somewhat. 10 years ago you had the likes of Giggs, Nedved, Figo and probably a couple more that I'm forgetting.

Still, Nani is in incredible form and I would say can be a world class winger if he isn't already.

No doubt, the standards of wingers have decreased. One other thing, the use of wingers have changed. In the past, the wingers job was to provide the team with width and corsses, modern days wingers look to cut in rather than to cross. Look at the late 90's/Early 00's you had Giggs, Nedved, Figo, Ginola, Overmars, Beckham, Schneider, Camoranesi etc....

Yep. World cup --> CSKA/Russian League --> Juventus/Serie A. In his first match against Bari, he was replaced by half time. He could barely run with the ball by the 30 minute mark.

Unfortunately we've seen today why Nani is challenged for his position. Shocker today. No influence, limited presence. Very disappointing.

Hardly a shocker, apart from the 2 missed chances he didn't do anything wrong, but nothing special either. Besides most of our play was through Ashley young, which is kinda refreshing considering we've been relying on our right side for a long, long time
