Bannan is class as set pieces, not sure on his overall game though...

Actually, that statement reads true for Ollie Norwood too

Bannan has an awesome left foot. Can pick out an excellent pass as well.

I remember Bannan made a stunning 40/50 yard diagonal against Fulham last season to set up Albrighton. Very Scholes-esque. I think we'll definitely be monitoring him over the next season.

Is Bannan now first choice then? Seen him and Delph the other day

I do like Bannan, not sure he'd be my first choice for a young midfield signing though

United scouts track Dutch wing wizard - 'dream' move

Ola John Manchester United and Arsenal wanted me but I think I am still young and can learn a lot at Twente
Manchester United continue to monitor the progress of Dutch youth international Ola John.

The FC Twente winger has been earning rave reviews in the Eredivisie, and despite signing a new deal with his current club until 2014, reports in Italy claim the Red Devils are still watching the player closely.

Itasportpress claim Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in adding the player to his talented crop of young players at Old Trafford, with David de Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck all coming to the fore for Manchester United this season.

Brother of former Fulham striker Collins John, Ola is well aware of the interest in his services, confirming that Manchester United weren't the only club tracking him before a Europa League clash against the Cottagers a fortnight ago.

”Manchester United and Arsenal wanted me but I think I am still young and can learn a lot at Twente. If you are that good, the opportunity will come again when you are older. Playing in England is my dream of course,” he said.

"It is too early to go to England and FC Twente is a good club so why would I want to leave?”

Whilst the comments suggest John would rather wait for the chance to join Manchester United, the lure of the Red Devils may be too strong for the Liberian-born teenager to resist should an offer materialise

We'll probably scout him for the next couple of years and once we're ready to go in to sign him, so will City.

Showed promise at an early age in Holland, earning him two international caps at an early age. Moved to Fullham where he showed promise and then suddenly after 11 goals in The Premier League one season, he became shite so they loaned him out to a few Championship clubs. He was then released and ended up in Belgium, America and Azerbaijan, where he was also shite. According to Wiki he had a trial with Nottingham Forest this summer. He's only 25.

They've also seem to train their young players well, a lot of skillful youth products have come from Netherlands recently. It's a shame Ajax doesn't have the same pull it used to. They also have a fantastic history

West Brom want to hijack Manchester United's move for Dundee United star Scott Allan.
Sir Alex Ferguson has sent scouts to watch the impressive midfielder in action this season, having been made aware of his contract status at the club.
Allan only recently made his SPL debut but is out of contract at the end of this season and clubs can approach him in January in a bid to strike a deal.
United remain keen but West Brom have a long-standing interest in the 19-year-old, who has also been watched by Newcastle.
The Baggies are understood to have failed with a bid for Allan last season but Roy Hodgson is expected to go in again for the Scotland Under-21 international in January.
