He will be moving on. It would be in Pogba's best interest to sign asap if he was going to stay, but he is not going to. He is now missing out on chances to gain first team play. SAF most likely has made up his mind to move forward with Gibson.

Yeah well Pogba is probably thinking he should've alteast got a start with us or a sub debut in the prem, especially when you think how sh*te our mid is, he's probably thinking that he's better than all of our midfielders and deserves better. Being on the bench against the likes of Leeds or Aldershot and not even making the bench for Benifa while Gibson does would p*ss off any young talent

I hope not! but with the length of contract talks, individuals involved, and with no conclusion; probability is that Pogba is not in our future.

I agree Johan! But money moves individuals for right or wrong. Reality is Pogba should have 3 or 4 first team performances under his belt by now. SAF knows something will not get signed, hence, no first team action.

Yeah, he should have been included in a few games, as a sub anyway..

I dont think milan will offer more money than we would though

That was my point - hardly encouraging for Pogba, is it? Maybe Fergie already knows he wants out.

When do we play Crystal Palace? I wouldn't mind playing a 4-5-1 with Morrison, Pogba + Carrick in midfield.

me, too. Raiola involved in this.

Its looking like Gibson will get his chances again....Gibson who was as good as off in the summer, not making the US Tour. And now Fergie has him back in the matchday threads. Id bet we will see him starting vs. Crystal Palace.

Really not liking these reports. Cannot fathom how Gibson could be in front of Pogba in the pecking order, especially when we need new (better)midfeilders with diffrent styles and more creativity. Gibson is crap, atleast Pogba is young and can be moulded. Common SAF!!!!

That would be depressing if true. Hopefully we can put these rumours about him leaving to bed asap

Hopefully, but unlikely. I think we'll still see another Gibson Fletcher pairing with Pogba coming on in the second half.

if he leaves... then what is the point of us having an academy?

a bright star like that, nurtured properly, and ready to go, all to be left waiting while giggs park gibson and anderson dissapoint week after week...

we have experience in the middle with fletch and carrick, so why not throw in pogba and ravel???

we're crying out for fresh faces!

JUST LOOK HOW RAMSEY AND WILSHERE HAVE NOW DEVELOPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You took the words out of my mouth, point for point.

And especially when Fergie already knew the importance of giving him opportunities but held on to the leash for God knows why, not that we have much to lose as it stands anyway.

    Broken records though....

its actually fergie's stuborness that is making my dislike of some of our most loyal servants manifest!

i see park on the team sheet, and spontaneously i shout 'f*ck off park'... same with giggs, and sometimes with ando and fletch and carrick... and they dont deserve that

we're just SOOO stale in the middle it is genuinely embarassing... and when that lot (above) all play together i literally put my head in my hands and think to myself 'its gonna be another long 90mins'

and im fed of feeling like that

    i want the magic back

He'll get his chances...the FA cup is still to start and we are only 4 months into the season. Palace on tuesday, at home for me means he will 100% start. Our defence hasn't helped, im sure if we were more solid recently Fergie would have more trust. Fergie is struggling to trust some of his senior players, let alone the younger ones. Is Pogba even in his 20's? Not like he'd get into a premier league first team right now anyway is it....lads need to chill!

play wellers/the pea up front against palace, with pogba, ravel, and fletch/carrick in a 3 man central midfield

every single poster on here would be sitting at home with an erection... and erections ARE GOOD!

It seems people can cry out all they want, Fergie's a stubborn man and in his world Pogba don't seem to be an alternative for the first team as of now. To be honest it's starting to annoy me a little bit because it's been so long since we had any proper academy players coming through and I belive thats due to Fergies inability to nurture talent. I know I will get stick for saying this but Fergie lack the ability to nurture players into stars. He is good at spotting talent but not to develop it.

Right now things are looking very promising with a good youth/reserve team and the likes of Welbeck and Cleverly coming through. The problem is that Fergie always use the same approach to develop young players. Send them on loan to a lower league club, if they do well loan them to a better side but probably still a lower league side. If that goes well he'll try and push them to a PL club and if that's successful they might get a stab at the first team. Players that are talented but not United lads might tire of this long process and I can see why. They've come to United because it's one of the biggest clubs in the world known for creating their own stars.

Since the golden generation I can't think of that many players that have come through our academy and made a mark in the first team. Ronaldo is an exception and I believe that was down to three things. First, Queiroz were there to support him and push him into the first team and Queiroz is someone SAF respects. Second, he had an extreme hunger and will to become top of the game which made him train hard and perform well. Finally, he seemed to have a very good relationship to Fergie which is hard to achieve if your a reserve team player not getting the chance in the first team.

I think that SAF burned his fingers a little with the Macheda case because he actually got the chance without the loan spells but didn't manage to perform, then his loan deal failed and now he's in limbo. Cleverly and Welbecks achievements I see as pure luck (I'm a big admireer so don't get any funny ideas). They were loaned to clubs that suited them well and helped their development in a major way and they instantly performed well when they got a chance in the first team.

Wilshere and Ramsey is a good example of players growing with their responsibilities. I think Pogba, Morrison and some others could do the same but they'll never get the chance. Pogba will most likely leave sooner rather than later and Morrison might go on a loan deal or two but in the end won't be successful because he isn't as persistent a character like Cleverly and Welbeck are. Or at least that's my impression.

I'm convinced that young players need a chance to prove themselves and if we want to keep on being a club that create stars rather than buying them our current strategies have to change.
