nevertheless he moves on with 3 PL Champion medals from his 4 years. With contributing to at least 2 of the titles.
Whiteside, it's said the he had a potential unmatched in whole Europe. Saha could've been our best striker in the last few years if it wasn't up to the injuries.
Surprised no one mentioned Rossi. Oh he could have been a gem here. His loan at Newcastle f**ked up and then he couldn't get into the first team with Rooney, Ruud, Ole and Saha ahead of him. Now THAT is unlucky. Anyone care to mention Fabio? Even now SAF thinks Evra has been consistent for five years. Busby Babes mentioned earlier. Definitely true, but they are in a better place too, cheering and smiling United on. Hargreaves wasn't unlucky. We did everything to help him when we could have hung him to dry long ago, so he was still fairly lucky we kept paying his wages. I was always backing him to come back like many fans, so to turn your back and join city, yes I am a bitter f**ker!
The one who came to my mind when I first saw the thread title was Saha. When he was fit and on the top of his game, he was one of the best strikers around. I've got no doubt if he'd managed to stay fit constantly, he would really have been a fantastic striker for us. He had some great moments for us despite his injury, so I'm sure he would have had a lot more.
Dion Dublin has to be the unluckiest ,it was a real rags to riches story ,he got off to a flying start and looked quite useful and something we very much needed ,then he broke his leg in about his 3rd game and Cantona was bought to fill the void . Dublin did absolutley nothing wrong but in time he got sold on as was getting very little game time due to the others really hitting the big time . Dublin went on to have a good honest carear at other clubs ,he deserved better.
Tevez, because he ended up at Chiteh and then when (too late) he realised what a huge mistake he had made he was trapped
