Did everyone see the footage from the Newcastle reserves game. Pertucci was incredible (as was Keane)........Picked out 2 or 3 assists, 1 assist assist (did all the work to tee up a cross) and scored a belter......

    What a supreme talent.

    what makes you so definitive?

I enjoyed his display v Newcastle - not saying I feel differently though, just wondering why...

IO think it will be the same case as with Magnus Eirki, both very very talented players just never got there chance with the first team despite really standing out with the reserves.

Hope I'm wrong about Davide though

Eikrem was my favourite reserve player before he went :(

the way he sounded in the interview he would not go the Pogba way for sure .... he will atleast sign the next 3 year contract and see how it goes ... if it does not work he could leave at the age of 24-25 to another club .....

I feel he will go on to be a player like Fletcher for us.... in the sense that Fletcher was not a star in the making right from day 1 but worked his way up through total commitment and desire .... Petrucci too has those attributes so do not see why he cannot make it here ... ofcourse as SAF had unquestioned faith in Fletcher, Petrucci too needs that either from SAF or from the next manager whoever comes in...

Looking at him earlier in his career I would agree with the Eikrem comparisons but impression is that he's more motivated and more of a fighter since coming back from his injury woes. Jury is still out but I think he has a lot more spirit than the likes of Pogba. There's no doubt that all he wants is to be successful with us, something that makes the Fletcher comparison more accurate.

I personally think a loan to Bolton or Wigan (if they stay at PL) will be good for him.Everyone thinks about a Championship loan but in my opinion he's at a higher level.

It would also help if he is loaned out to any of the promoted sides .... these sides will certainly be looking to strengthen their squads for the league battle next season...

I think he could do well with Swansea, especially if Gylfi's going elsewhere.

Some players just don't have any luck. Davide has a lot of injuries at such a young age, it surely will affect him.

next season could be key to decide if he can make it at UTD .. a loan stint which can give more 1st team football .. would prefer a PL club but not sure if there are many takers for him in the PL

Top prospect and a top lad, hope he goes on the tour and impresses, certainly has enough talent to warrant being there, as does Daehli and Januzaj

I wouldn't say anything certain about our academy prospects because of that annoying injury problem. What is the main reason of our injury disaster from the 1st to the U18? Does it because of "British" way of playing football? Seems like all of our Academy players got injured this year.Long-term for Pearson,Wilson,Lawrence,Januzaj,Rothwell,... It hampered their improvement, little or much, apparently.
