    Always rated Petrucci as the bigger prospect when everyone was
    going on about Macheda a few seasons ago - when they were
    both very much still involved in academy and reserves.

    Petrucci was outstanding in his debut season for The U18's. The next two season were disrupted by injury and growing problems.

    I remember he gave an interview after one of the last games of the reserves and you could tell straight away he wants to be a success here. Level headed guy, loyal and wants to improve and ready to work hard for it.

    He was so unlucky with that strike that hit the bar. Wonderful technique, deserved better.

    I really like Petrucci as a player. He reminds me of Fabregas in many way. They're both not particularly fast or brilliant dribblers, but they make up for that with their intelligence and passing. Petrucci can play and move into so many different positions on the pitch. He's a nightmare to mark.
