Definitely, just signed a new contract, to think otherwise is silly, he has to have at least a crack at things
Definitely. He's nearly 21 and would have told Ferguson that he was looking to play more regular first team football. He had other offers, which he could have taken. I'm sure that Ferguson wouldn't offer him a new contract and then let him rot in The Reserves. He takes a player's needs into account. If he couldn't guarantee him more games next season, I doubt he would have stayed.
it would be stupid to let him go after Morrison and Pogba .... he surely has it in him to make it here ...one good season on loan and then can be grafted in to the first team squad for sure... hope to see more of him in the next tour game
Okay. Kool. he's been here for like 3 or 4 years now, i want to see this guy get some first team apperances, or just loan him out to a championship club...
Fergie is too scared to give any of these U21's a starting place in EPL games, i wouldnt mind one of them just being put in alongside experienced players but fergie won't even do that unless he has no choice because of loads of injuries but even then he'll just play an experienced player out of position, when is poor Joshua King going to be given a chance in the first team, he says he'll think about leaving if he doesn't think he has a future here.
i fear his chances have become even more less with Powell coming .... would be such a loss if Petrucci cannot make it to the first team here
I like him he has shown a lot of brilliance, I want him he should get loaned in a premier league team
We aren't using him in the first team that's understandable but why hasn't he been loaned out ? Desperately needs first team football to take the next step. Though the arrival of Powell does drag him down the pecking order a bit I don't think it does to the extent of ending his career here. We have seen vast improvements in Petrucci's defensive game and I don't see what would stop him from being groomed to take over the quarterback role that Scholes has made his own with time. He has the passing ability, the closest to Scholes within our ranks potentially ,but would need to continue cultivating his positional and defensive game to have a short in that spot. Whilst Powell currently seems more suited to Lampard/Gerard role behind the striker. I can't see why both can't grow into becoming squad players in the next eighteen months. Currently Sir Alex ought to be throwing them bones in the form of first team cameos to get them used to first team standards ,keep them happy and see for himself, in a competitive game, what they are made of. If we hold them back too much the ghost of Pogba will haunt us again. Let's just say I have plenty of faith in most our youth and believe that five years and 150 appearances later they won't be struggling for a start like Anderson is doing currently.
This guy is so confident on the ball, future Scholes replacement i swear, Fergie must stop pissing in the wind and bring this chap through.
Next year he must be registered as an overage player. Fergie's overlooking of him this year means his career here is coming to an end.
I think we're just being over protective of him, which is understandable. Cleverley had to wait until he was almost 22 to make his debut. I have no doubt that he'll be a first team squad player next season. Ferguson has a lot of faith in Anderson, Cleverely, Cole, Tunnicliffe and Petrucci. That's why we never try to sign central midfielders.
Would be criminal to let Petrucci go after a maximum of zero first team opportunities whilst Gibson had countless ones which he spurned one after the other. The scenario for next season will be different to this one because Giggs and Scholes could and should retire, Anderson should be offloaded if he has another so so season meaning that we could afford to have both Petrucci and Powell as squad players and have one new central midfield signing . Its not too much to grant the lad a chance and I don't want another Pogba situation or worse an Etoo-Madrid situation where a player that's been denied a fair crack turns out to be world class and City inevitably get their oily hands on him.
