United have arranged an Under-17s friendly against Derby County kicking off at 2pm at Loughborough University on Wednesday 10 October.

So basically we will have two friendly matches on the same day.The U17s seems to consist of first-year scolars who currently doesn't have chances with U18s and some U16s.

Really enjoyable highlights. Very sloppy from Loughborough University kept the ball for about 40 seconds, across the back, and with the keeper, never out of the half. Gave it away, first touch for a United player, Pearson with an open run finished with ease. :p

Second was similar for Weir, United played some good passes, before Barmby squared it for a simple Weir finish.

More sloppy play lead to the third, Weir robbed possession just outside United area, made a good run before finding Barmby, he squared it for Dæhli, on the overlap who finished well.

The fourth again came from them givin the ball away. Barmby at the centre of it, played it to Periera who made a good run on the outside, he squared it for Pearson, for another simple finish.

The fifth was a stunning free-kick from Periera, the keeper couldn't get near it.

The sixth was once again a poor goal to conceede. Wilson closed the keeper down, and he scuffed the clearance, Wilson controlled it well, and played it to an on rushing McNair who bent it into the bottom corner from outside the box really well.

That's pretty much the entire Academy squad! Sutherland's the only one not there that I can pick out. Presumably, he's gonna deputise for Sam at U21 level while Sam hopefully gets a start in the COC Cup (y) . Good to see Ioannou travel which hopefully is a sign that he's fit and ready to go now.
