Hear that about a month ago from some 'half trusted' sources. Could be something it it.

Seems to be an awful lot of traveling involved this time with no defined place or tour as we normally have.

Not to sure what to make of it really, surely all that traveling can't be good, right?

It is a lot more travelling than usual but, as long as no more dates are added, they seemed to have planned it fairly well.

It's only 5 matches in a month and the squad is given at least 10 days rest in between China & Scandanavia and the end of the tour & start of the season.

No Community Shield to traipse down to Wembley for either. Gives us more time to play with.

Ah yea you have a point, personally i think i'd still prefer a tour round a certain country or even continent but i guess it doesn't matter where you are as long as the players get back in shape etc.

United players who will potentially be playing in the Olympics

Great Britain - Giggs, Cleverley, Smalling, maybe also Tunnicliffe, Amos
    Mexico - Hernandez ?
    South Korea - Park
    Brazil - Rafael, Fabio, Anderson
    Spain - De Gea

That's quite a few players there and I might have missed others from other countries involved.

didn't Sir Alex said that Hernandez will not be available for Mexico's Olympic Squad? that Sir Alex wants to give Hernandez a rest since he's been restless since World Cup 2010

I think it will be good for Cleverley, though only if he plays in the center. Pearce will probably put him on the wing though.

Smalling will benefit too, though if one of Rio/Vidic get injured he'll be kicking himself because Evans might make the 3rd or even the 2nd spot his own.

So,exclude players that go to Euro,Olympic and Euro U19 (statistically, doesn't mean they won't go on tour) left us with:
    (may be) Amos,Evans,(may be) Vidic,Fabio,Fryers,Vermijl,Wootton,Reece Brown,Scholes,Carrick,(unlikely) Fletcher,Anderson,Petrucci,Cole,Tunnicliffe,Valencia,Kagawa,A.Januzaj,Powell,Brady,Berbatov,Hernandez,King,Macheda,Lingard.
It's 25 players presume the like of Cole,Lingard,Wootton,Reece Brown will go and Berbatov,Anderson won't be sold. Some players involved in Euro will go,may be one or two unexpected case (Daehli,Barmby?) and some in this list won't,so I expect for about 23-25 players on tour.

It's a pity Will Keane got injured, would have loved to see him join the first team squad on tour.

Korea announced Arsenal's Park is going to the Olympics, but Sky said nothing about Ji (who is overage) so from that maybe he's not going.
