I was playing the Death Toll episode of Left 4 Dead last night. I'd played through all 5 parts and then when the boat arrived to pick us up the other 3 survivors legged it just as a Tank and a swarm of zombies surrounded me. They didn't come back for me and my assault rifle ran out of ammo so I just burnt down the boat house with me, the swarm and the Tank inside with a molotov and went out in a blaze of glory!

At least I got 10 achievement points for setting a Tank on fire.

Just a quick question and there's no point making a new thread for it.

Has anyone ever bought a pro-owned game? I was in Gamestation a few weeks ago and they were all mostly pre-owned, and I'm always a bit dubious as to how reliable they are.

I have bought a few over the years and have had no trouble. Much cheaper.

Every pre-owned game i've got has been fine, just have a look at the disc before leaving the shop to make sure it doesn't have any major scratches.

can't speak for anything but gamestation, but they're brilliant, I've never had to take a pre owned game back with any problems and I've bought many over the years, some even clean the discs again beforegiving them to you and they do have a warranty with the store anyway.

Go for it mate, much much cheaper and I've not had any problems (they do check the discs before taking them in and selling them too)

Cheers guys. That's why I asked really, because they are so much cheaper than new ones.

I'll start doing that instead (although I live in somewhere that's so crap that doesn't even have any games shops , so I'll have to wait until I'm somewhere else :p)

apart from the absolute day 1, must have, triple a-list games, i buy everything second hand... and as somebody else posted, i cant ever remember having to take one back. plus im a rental junkie and some of those games are scratched to sh*t, but they always work...

my live account says ive played over 100 games, but if you look on my game rack i have 8 games sitting there...

Yeah, we're actually with LoveFilm but I haven't bothered getting games, just getting a lot of DVD's. But I should get games, so I might do.

rented 'Wet' yesterday... im 2 chapters in and id describe it as a poor mans bayonetta, which is not a bad thing

its an action, yakuza, grindhouse, pulp fiction, hack n slash shoot em up... its cheesy and its low budget, but its great fun

def worth a tenner or a rental for a few days...

    Transformers: War for Cybertron.

Finished the Decepticon campaign and in the final chapter of the Autobot campaign. Great fun, good graphics and excellent gameplay that requires you to use transformations in order to get to the next level rather use them just for show. The voice acting is superb, the characters sound just the way they should. It also has a decent storyline that would provide a history lesson to the Transformers fans out there.
