Well perhaps that he brought Jones with an idea of him being that midfield driving force? I mean he couldnt play him in that position when Anderson and Cleverly started so brightly...that or he rates Pogba or Morrision so highly, but considering their lack of opportunities i doubt that. I personally think it could be the lack of funds but again hen he had the money he still didnt think the CM was a problem
Relying on a 19 year old for two areas of the field. In form players played out of position. No creativity. Finally, what would drive Fergie to buy? If he had money, I can't imagine he'd be oblivious to the problems for so long. Fergie isn't to blame for not buying a CM. Ferige is to blame though that he didn't manage the money he did have in the right positions.
Is it only I who feels that Fergie didn't really buy in positions we needed but instead brought so other teams couldn't get them. I.e. Jones & Young because Liverpool wanted them. De Gea was the only player brought in a position we were short.
I don't disagree but he was brought so Liverpool couldn't. Fergie said he wanted to wait another year for him but had to act quickly. I'm hoping that with this logic Liverpool go and attempt to buy a midfielder on Fergies shopping list (if there is any on there) and he goes and stops them buying him too.
If that was the case, why didn't we loan him back to Blackburn? The sad fact is, Fergie is never one to go back on an emphatic statement. He has so vehemently refused to buy in the window - that to do it would make him look silly. And he never admits he's wrong.
He said it i'm sure of it. Why he didn't loan him back i do not know but im 95% sure that statement is a correct one. But i agree he wont go out and buy someone, although he did utter "if they become available" but i think that was more as a wind up towards the media, he enjoys playing games with them. He wont buy its as simple as that.
Come on Sir Alex, just 1 Top midfielder!! Empty out them pockets! If every United fan on the planet Donated 1 euro to the club, we could buy 3 top class midfielders, there's a thought for you.
You utter ****.,he picks a side he thinks will win.his judgement is failing no dowt. City will win by nine points.
Fergie was in denial, maybe now that Newcastle proved Blackburn wasn't a fluke of bad luck he'll buy.
fergie is too stubburn in his old ways i dont think he will move for anyone.but saying that i heard that united are keeping a close eye on the cahill transfer.
Most likely in the summer we are going to make drastic changes. As for this season, I don't believe we will anything, bar the F.A Cup or the Prem League by a miraculous turn of events. Another factor is considering even if we do have the money to buy these mystery midfielders that we need and even if their respective clubs will cut them loose.
