He's not good enough, wasn't before he came and never will be while he's here. I'd be over the moon if we got shot of him.

Absoloutley I would. I've backed carrick for some time but we need a fresh approach to how we play football and bring in some players with a fresh new hunger to be playing for us. Bold changes are needed IMO. Too many people are far too comfy at this club just now.

You are talking about carrick yes? Sure as **** your not talking about young.

    yes I'm talking about Carrick.

And letting Young go after 1 season where he's scored some essential goals and made essential assists would be silly too.

I fully agree with that. Most of the players have won everything with the club they can win as players. But does the financial situation allow us a total squad overhaul? Can´t see us selling so many players tbh, its not typical transfer policy letting 7 players go and buy 7 others.

Calm down hd, Fergie won´t let Young go after only 1 season. Even Berba got 4 years.

For me Park, Anderson, Evra, Berbabtov and Owen(constantly injured) all have to be shown the exit door. I would like to include Carrick and Nani but both have signed new contracts so that aint happening.

Alex has mellowed in recent years and I think he is no longer ruthless with players as he once was...remeber 1995/1996 Ince, Kanchelskis and Hughes massive names and showed them all the door and built a new era. He needs this hunger again beacuse it then reflects in his team...last season and particularly this the players just havent shown that appetite and the players I've mentioned above seem to be happy just picking up a wage.

If you want to let Carrick go then you have to bank on Fletcher returning to full strength. I would rather play it safe and keep Carrick and then get a creative midfielder to play next to him. Like when he played with Joe Cole all those years ago in West Ham, they where great together.

From the opinions of pretty much everyone, except a few on this forums. Besides, if you still think Fergie has some plans for him, then I suppose you are in for a surprise. I'd really like him to join a team that suits him, and play the football that is best for him, rather than getting cribbed at by fans at a club where he isn't really much welcome by most. The moment we broke the record signing fee for him, he was expected to do big things, which he couldn't. Maybe, I shouldn't have used the word 'deserve', but it doesn't matter.

Eh, I believe you read my entire post. It's 50/50 for me. Fabio should be given a run in at that left back position, and Evra should be dropped for a while. But, I agree with you here; we are in such a dilemma in this situation. Fryers doesn't want to sign a contract, and is probably a couple years away from being a regular, and Fabio is unreliable. So, Evra is our only option. We have to make do with him, or buy a left back, which isn't going to happen.

Macheda My feelings on him are clear, I don't think I need to re-iterate what I've been saying for over 2 years.

Kuczszack No doubt he's leaving. Amos is fine as third-choice.

    Bébé

Berbatov Still good enough for most clubs and would free up wages. He's played such a minor role this season that it's quite evident he'll be off.

Owen I'd personally let him go but I can see Fergie maybe trying to get one more year out of him.

Park See Owen. And I love Park and love everything he's done for us but he's going stale.

Scholes People might think it harsh and he has done an excellent job since coming back but we need progression and I hope he calls it a day once and for all after the Euros (I can see 'Arry doing everything to bring him along).

Anderson Sorry, I cannot wait another season.

Players in bold are my sure-fire ones to leave, the ones in italics I can see Fergie maybe keeping....though I'd hope he'll see sense.

at least 4 overage players will have to go just to be able to bring in one new overage player - they should be bebe, owen, kuszczak, de laet

amos could be a possibility too as it may be a bit of a luxury having a 3rd goalkeeper with such inexperience taking up an overage spot in the 25 man overage squad - if they are going to have a 3rd goalkeeper as overage, maybe they could find a more experienced, higher quality backup...or if they went with an u21 as 3rd string that would allow another overage spot for an outfield player in the 25

will be interesting to see what happens with berbatov

in terms of u21 players looks like pogba will be gone, and maybe fryers?

    PIG - Leaving anyway
Park - He offers bugger all now, and reports in Portugal say we're siging Gaitain. Age/injuries have caught up with him.
Anderson - Next few months are make or break for him.
    Owen - He's crap.

I just don't understand how people could part with players like Park, Evra or Ferdinand. Park for instance, is a great fella, and with 10 year olds jumping ships as soon as they smell money, it is great to have his kind of dedication.( Would love him to stay for an Asian scout)

Scholes - He might just saved our season, but we're still in deep **** for the long run. His U-turn caused players like Pogba and other promising youngsters to be prevented taking the chance that injurys opened.
Giggs - He's a legend no doubt, but he is taking a place of a young incomer who might just turn out to be the next ronaldo.
Berbatov, PIG, Owen are just as good as gone.
I say we shouldn't crawl through seasons to recharge the squad, we should take the **** thrown at us in a season, that will iron out the squad for the next decade(?). There is a grate blog post on the official page, i just want to quote this:

"Learn, absorb, adapt. While the players and their manager are doing it, perhaps we need to as well."
Ps: Perhaps i went too much offtopic...

Half of these posts are embarrasing. Selling Hernandez tops the lot.

    Owen
    PIG

I doubt any other first team players will leave permanentely this season.

Bébé: Do I need to explain why?
Kuszczak: Time for him to go.

Macheda deserves one last shot, just a loan where the manager doesn't leave and his team doesn't get relegated.
Berbatov should stay, could you ask for a better 4th choice striker?
Owen must stay, this guy costs almost nothing, and we can always call upon him. His experience is something of a value for our youngsters.
Park's versatility, experience and hard work is hard to find in other players.

I think his passes are mostly too heavy, his touches not so good and he can't dribble for nuts. Welbeck is indeed much more involved with buildups for us. But selling Chicharito is a no no as he is a very good poacher who will score you goals.

Multi-choiced poll added. Only maximum of 14 allowed so I had to overlook our new signing Young. Just one nomination so far anyway, I think.
