    Agree - with Evra I'd actually keep him as a winger primarily and a useful squad player. He's fine going forward.

    I would also get rid of Michael Owen, short of being the med staff's new guinea pig - he doesn't really add much. Macheda can't even get a game with QPR.

    Evra would make a terrible winger. He can't cross, can't take a man on and he can't dribble over 5 metres. He's not even that quick anymore.

    His whole game is based on overlapping and working well with the winger. If you rely on him to create chances then you're screwed. It would be like playing Gary Neville on the wing (granted Evra's more technical than Neville was).

    Fair point actually. I'd keep him as back up, if not necessarily as a starter.

    I think out of the list provided 5 players should definitely go;

    PIG - Obvious for ages he's got no future here.

    Owen - I like him, and think that his experience and behaviour is only of benefit to the squad, and younger players in particular. But he's at the stage now where he's got nothing to offer on the pitch imo, so he shouldn't be a player. If there was room and he was interested then a coaching position would be positive.

    Macheda - I don't think he's got a future here either, he hasn't progresses at all and his attitude isn't good enough to enable him to have a future here.

    Berbatov - There's no real doubting his quality. But he's down the pecking order, has had little time and it would make space on both the 25 squad list and the wage bill. With his ability, he deserves to start regularly somewhere as well imo.

    Bebe - Do I really need to explain why?

    However, there are others players on the list that I'd say either a) I'm undecided on/wouldn't be too fussed about them going, or b) I would keep them for one more year and let them go or review it. I'd say they are;

    Evra - He has been on the decline, but I would look to either sign a LB or one already here (Fryers or Fabio) more time and let them provide more competition for him, and then review it next year. I also wouldn't let him be captain either tbh, I can understand why but I think that's another thing he doesn't particularly need. I wouldn't be too surprised if he goes though, after everything he's been through.

    Anderson - I wouldn't be too fussed whether he stays or goes. Has his strengths and could improve depending on a few factors, but he's been quite disappointing overall so I wouldn't be heartbroken if he went.

    Park - I don't think he'll be here for too much longer or he'll finish his career here. But I think his experience and versatility is a positive, so I would keep him next season and then let him go next summer.

    Fletcher - I don't want to get rid of him. I think things depend on what happens with his illness. So keep him and see how things go.

    I would keep the others, and I'm a bit surprised that some have said to get rid of the likes of Carrick and Ferdinand. I think these two have shown that they've still got quite a bit to offer. Another thing I think is important with these two, and Evra and Park on top of that, is that I would be a bit worried about getting rid of so much experience and making so many changes. I would much rather do it more slowly tbh.

    Seriously, like who?

    Keepers who are "more experienced, higher quality backups" are never going to come here to be 3rd choice. It's either Amos, or we rely on youth goalkeepers. I'll stick with Amos for the moment.

    Park, Berbatov, Anderson will not leave. Imagine how bad the injury situation would have been without back ups in the squad like them. They are what make us so strong, so we won't let squad players go, never mind first team players like Evra and Rio.

    The sheer size of the squad is possibly why our football is so boring these days. Every week we've been chopping and changing.

    wow,looks like a lot of peeps want major surgery to our current team/squad.

    If we're going to make such big changes, we may as well get Moyes in now, so at least he can buy the team he will have to work with.

    we do need to move a few people on, so in the spirit of moving the team forward, rather than wholesale changes, here's my tuppance worth:

    Berbatov - a really good player who we havent used properly. This guy needs to be the main man, with lots of the play going through him. He's a touch player, and teh more touches he gets, the more involved in the game he is. This is how spurs used him, and he used to wrok the front line all by himself and still score some wonderful goals. I'd offer him to Bayern in exchange for Robben.

    Owen - we dont need im. he's scored some valuable goals (derby winner), but he's on a decent wage and is injured far too often.

    Evra - he has been a real class player for utd, but he needs Vidic or Ferdinand next to him to cover his ass and remnd him he is a defender. with the young centre backs we have, we should let him go and get Baines in his place.

    Young - I've never thought he was consistent enough for Villa, but thought with better players at UTD, he'd be more effective. If we could get Robben, i'd let Young go - or get him to change his game to play him up front as you cant argue, he does have good skill and pace which may get us loads more penalties.

    Da Silva Twins - too injury prone, and they've not really proven in their limited first team appearances, that they have developed. Maybe use as swap for Baines - yes both these for 1 player!

    Anderson should be allowed to go to a team that will let him play further forward. I don think he'll ever consistently be a top PL midfielder.

    finally, i'd see if Barcelona would give us Pedro for Nani. Nani is a brilliant player on his day, and one of the few players who can help change a game, but in terms of consistency? Mickey Phelan was more consistent - although it was consistently crap.

    I still think Evra has a lot to offer in a squad system, afterall Fryers and Fabio are future starters but as yet are untested and injury prone (in that order) so it would be a little foolish to sell Evra unless we replace him. If we replace him then we'll be taking much needed financial resources from an area we badly need new blood - CM.

    Also if we let Evra go in the summer how long before the Racists are saying it was because we knew he was lying about Suarez and that he deliberatly withdrew his hand at Old Trafford. That doesnt justify keeping a player for another season who is in decline but when it comes to the Bin Dippers i am a petty, petty man.

    Young is only in his first season with us so give him a break. I will put him in next season...

    Er... this is a multi-choiced poll so many names voted does not mean members want wholesale changes e.g. only 1 out of 29 wants Chicharito to go says almost nothing.

    See, if it was an open poll, people may not be so honest and they will also have to contend with you now. :whistle:
