interesting to see people are still voting Scholes out for next season inspite of the way he has performed since returning back....
I'm a bit shocked at the mentions of Park, Rio and Evra. Especially Rio and Evra. Evra has not been as bad as some have made him out to be as the season has progressed. Last season he could not cross at all atleast this season he has at times put in a decent ball and he seems to be a little less all out attack in recent months as he probably alters his game due to all the criticism he has recieved for some poor performances. But he is still a leader and a true winner at the club and there is nobody better than him and fit week in week out than him in our squad. He has obvious quality too which makes him a keeper for sure. Over time i'm sure we will find a replacement but he will not leave this summer and he should not leave. Rio has really played kept the back together with his experience and class at the back at times for united in the league. I know Evans has really stepped up but I do not believe it would have been the case had he not had Ferdinand basically sweeping for him. Ever since fergie basically told him he was no longer first choice at the club at the back and that he would have to adjust his game to match his injury hit body, he has really come back well. He has played often alot deeper than he used to and while he will never be the same Rio of his peak he as far as I am concerned has really stepped it up again after all his injuries and with Vidic being out. As Clam said too and its a great point which is probably lost but Rio is a leader and someone who brings too much to united and its persona as a club to be let go. A great guy to have around the young defenders too. Park I can actually understand a bit more with his lack of true united quality as a footballer but he has been here for years and always does a job when we call upon him or atleast gives it his all and he is one of our lesser players who should be kept for games when he is needed for squad rotation and lesser games and in emergency situations. He has shown loyalty to us even though he has never been a regular and I would be happy to see him stay and this is coming from someone who used to hate to see him start games ahead of the likes of Nani back in the day. I'd also keep Hernandez just for the record. A while back I said we need a better striker upfront (I made a thread about it and i'll be proven correct on it ;-) lol ) and I stick by that statement especially with Berbatov not being an integral part of our squad on a weekly basis as a partner for rooney in fergies plan but what hernandez offers is someone who can get a goal which is so obvious and he is a threat coming off the bench too which is a great asset to have. Also his overall game is poor. Of course he can pass a ball but his overall game is still not good enough. It has actually improved in recent months and its obvious to see he has been working on it but he still runs with the ball too square on and and looks clumsy and heavy touched at times. Still he is a definite keeper and an asset to have at the club. He is a threat in away games too because of his style of play. Has been looking quite decent in recent week tbf to the kid. Oh and just a soft spot for Anderson. The guy is injured almost all the time, his time continuously away from playing football and in the treatment room/resting/healing can only regress his development as a footballer and it has and he does seem to be becoming more and more an english style footballer and less and less brazilian but i'd still keep him. I actually have no complaints with everyone who says they would get rid of him...but I cannot even deny I want him to stay too lol... pz!
I think Park and Berbatov will leave or be sold. I worry that fletch might have to retire judging by some people saying its incurable.
we cant get rid of anyone because we cant afford to replace them. If the money would be used for new players i would get rid of, ANDERSON, PIG, MACHEDA, DE LAET, PARK, BERBA & OWEN, and we need two midfielders and a forward to replace them!
where is rooney on the list?? lets get ridd of him and than become a truly averege team. not really, he is our star player! i would sell: berbatov owen bebe macheda welbeck giggs paul sc.. now if we get rid of them and than sign G.bale Hulk Erikson hazard martinez than we could challenge the big guns in europe!
I can't believe some of the votes by people on here. The old  emoticon would have been handy in this case.
Agreed. This thread has brought out the very worst in people. Who are the 5 who voted Carrick, and who are the 6 who voted Rio, and worst of all who are the two people who think we should sell Chicharito? Probably the same guy who said he's our worst striker in the last 20 years.
I'd still rather have another £1 million in bank from any sale than have him on loan for another season. Every penny will count in this transfer window
It's because I forgot about him! Sad as it is to say, I think if we could get another CM in, I'd probably let Anderson go - Fergie has ruined him.
Agree with most of this except for Evra - he's been piss poor, mate. I think may of the goals we have conceded have (indirectly) come from attacks down his flank and also directly to his laziness, complacency, not being where he should be, giving away fouls. Having said that, I can't see why we should sell him or move him on, what we should do is offer him meaningful competition. Fabio is always injured and isn't a meaningful challenger. If we signed someone like Marcel Schmelzer who is a solid left back, he could EASILY replace Evra most games and force Evra to get his "A" game back. On the topic of Park, I would let him retire gracefully. I've always been one to defend him, especially when people were calling him the Asian Nicky Hunt or saying that he was here just to sell shirts. He's lost a yard or even two of pace and his stamina seems to be deteriorating quickly. Maybe he has another season in him, but it wouldn't be pretty. I'd keep him on with the club as a coach or scout if he wanted it, but i think that he would have big things waiting for him back home in Korea. Chicharito is definitely a keeper. The man lives to score goals, but agree that his overall game is poor. As I mentioned in the manage United thread, if Berba, Macheda and Owen are sold that we need another striker. Edison Cavani or Fernando Llorente would be my choices.
Selling Berba, Macheda and Owen are not going to be enough to put forward for the likes of Cavani or Llorente and it will be better off going towards buying a central midfielder.
Well, as you an see in the very first post of this thread, I voted Ferdinand and you can read why in the first post as well.
totally agree Evra's case ... he should be provided competition or else we will keep leaking goals from that end... he lets opponents fire crosses easily ....
