Pig Evra Anderson Fletcher Park Macheda Berba Bebe de Laet would generate a fair amount towards buying the midfielders we need too, which is why Id let Fletcher go, with two top class midfielders as well as the need to develop LePog and TClev and his health issues Id say there would be few opportunities for him we can let him go to somewhere where hes under less pressure.
He is a terrible player. Most of the games he has stsrted this year we have lost, I think its 8 losses out of his last 10 starts.
Playing for Manchester United and losing 8 out of 10 games where he was the worst player in most games, I would go as far as to say he is terrible.
Its been said. The thing is tho DeGeas also been in a lot of the games we won, the point about Park was of his last 10 starts we lost 8. Now I dont agree that hes a bad player, just that he no longer offers us what he did, there are others who are above him in the pecking order and we could do with the money we get for selling him
My post was tongue in the cheek mate. Now if we sold him, would we get enough money to cover the shirt sales in Asia loss that we'd make ?
maybe "terrible" is a bit harsh..... but "brilliant" is also not a term I would use to describe Park. Over the years he mostly was not more than a solid, technically limited squad player. Running and working, but without anything special. Not the type of player you would normally expect in one of the best clubs in the world. And (in the form he has now) not the player to rule Europe again with. Imo his United career has been long enough, but being one of Fergies favourite players at the club might save his place in the 12/13 25 player squad. Also because there wont be clubs seriously wanting him and if they won´t pay much.
I dont remember anyone calling him brilliant, allthough the word hero has been used and thats not unreasonable. The thing is he's a hard working and loyal player and he runs a lot which SAF quite rightly values. AND he sells a lot of shirts in the far east, so he's worth his wages just for that. Now all that running and working and trying very hard had lots of value when he was at his fittest and strongest because it meant defenders had to work hard to deal with him and he could create gaps for the more gifted players to exploit. HOWEVER hes slowed down in the last 18 months and doesnt have as much going power. The probably wont bear me out but I dont think he covers as much ground in 90 minutes as he used to. At any rate, he doesnt do what he used to but he still may have a reasonable value on the transfer market to go towards the cost of the two midfielders we need
yeah, the shirt selling aspect should not be forgotten of course. Money we need. But imo that should never be a reason to buy or keep a player! I know about his qualities and I rate him because of that. Personally he´s just not the type of player I watch football for. I see football as entertainment. So I prefer the skillful magicans over the ones who run like crazy all the time but thats it then.
he has BEEN brilliant,(ie in terms of his contribution) thats different from saying he is brilliant, what you do can be brilliant without you being brilliant
Every now and then, I must add that Asia-ex-Korea don't buy Park's shirt. I have yet to see a non-Korean Asian wearing Park.
were off to the middle east aren't we? We can sell more shirts - well that's what the press usually think when we signed Park all for boosting the revenue at the club.
