I disagree with Evra being piss poor. I think he has been erratic. At times he has been shocking at other times he has been very good in my opinion. I agree he has been at fault for goals this season but so have the likes of evans and jones (both direcetly and indirectly) as has the keeper and at times our central midfielders. I agree at times he does seem completely out of position though. I agree with him needing competition possibly but I would not sign another left back this summer we have more pressing issues in my opinion. I would give him another season and give fabio a season with as he gets older to prove his fitness. I think the fullback positions can be delayed upon one more season while we invest in more central midfield and offensive options. Also Evra is a legend, he loves united, has proven himself over the years and how he made liverpool to look like the laughing stock of football gives him another year to get his form back in my opinion I also agree, park should retire here even though he has no major quality he has proven to be a loyal player who never moans and knows his role. If he wants to leave, let him but if he is happy to be here, i see no reason to get rid. I'd happily take llorente to united but I think I would pass up on Cavani. I would take his two buddies marek hamsik and levezzi though! pz!
Let's be honest here: Do people in here actually believe Edinson Cavani and Fernando Llorente would leave their respective clubs, where they are in the starting XI, to come and sit in the United bench? And do you believe SAF would spend 30-40m to buy these talents, when it is crystal clear that we are not poor in that department.
The one thing that always makes me chuckle is the difference in attitudes between football fans and Basketball fans. For instance, if a B-ball team is in decline the fans want the teams to start from scratch, even if it means losing some key players in order for the team to improve. In football you suggest losing 8-10 players and people have a hissy fit around you. (I'm not american by the way, but I do follow basketball)
