Hard to believe after just winning the title, even harder to believe he'd consider Chelsea but Sky Sports are normally a good source.

I think its impossible for us to get him but if they lose him and we are smart this summer then I'd be very confident going into next season.

They've still not taken a proper shot at the CL - so the bit about doing all he can creates doubts...

Worth a cheeky bid if true... We'd be sexual!

Just can't see him going back to Barca....

It normally takes a team a few years to get used to playing great football at champions league level. Maybe Yaya thinks he'd have more chance with someone else at his age. Plus its the ideal time for another huge payday.

This is most likely the reason behind this. Yaya is is pushing 30 and he and his agent are probably seeing if he can get even more money out of City and if they won't give him it, then he will turn to another club willing to pay him huge bucks.

I don't think Yaya ever wanted to come to England, he knocked us back and only went to City for huge money when Barca give him no option. I think he'd jump at the chance of Real or Barca again.

His agent is just trying to get a pay rise for him. He is arguably City's best player over the course of this season. Always performs in the big games too. I wouldn't be surprised if they paid him more, not like the owners cannot afford to do so.

Even if he truly does want to leave, I don't think City will even consider accepting a bid - similar to what they did for Carlos Tevez last summer.

Doesn't he already earn £300k per week?

    He's already on £250k+

    Maybe he's chasing Eto'o...

    Good for us 3 ways:

    1. They may lose him :)
    2. Him getting a payrise will probably create (more) rifts in the dressing room :)
    3. (unlikely) We get him :) :) :)

Something like that.... I'm just saying that's what he is trying to do, just a possibility. The owners wealth is limitless. He is almost their best player. Why not go for a pay increase? Wouldn't you?

Considering that's the only reason he's there anyway, sure!

Possibly the most transparent attempt at getting a club (Barca) to up their interest I've ever seen.

If the financial fair play kicks in the last thing City need is to increase anyone's wages.

He is pulling the same stunt Rooney pulled, saying this stuff to be offered more money which is what most footballers care about including Rooney. On Monday Toure said he wanted to help City win more trophies now want's leave? after more money.

Think he'd be outstanding at Madrid.

Don't think he'll go back to Barca.

he is already on a huge pay scale and doubt if anyone other than RM would be willing to match that pay... so what is he trying to achieve

    - more money out of City - could be possible becuase this guy initially joined City instead of MANUTD just for money
    - want to go to a club to win CL - so will he be willing to take a pay cut (going by my above statement very unlikely)

Mancini is no fool to succumb to all this esp when he still has 3 yrs left on current contract. But if anything of this is true then the unrest within the squad has already begun and it will be fun to watch Mancini deal with all this

He just wants more $$$$. City will not let him leave as he is so vital to them.
