Your Man Utd Squad Numbers For 2012/13.

A lot of debate around, given comings and goings and the question of our next Number Seven - I thought I'd have a crack at allocating the squad numbers for next year (I'm assuming Kagawa has signed)

Changes;

#2 Rafael Da Silva (from 21)
#7 Shinji Kagawa
#9 Danny Welbeck (from 19)
#19 Will Keane
#21 Nick Powell

Also I'd elevate some of the youngsters to fill in vacated numbers.

baines #2, powell #7

Kagawa to #23 (dortmund number)
Cleverley to #7 (favourite number and idolises Beckham)
Powell to #19 (squad role for next year)
Welbeck to #9 (bye Berba)

You could be right actually. But how about Valencia at #7 and Powell takes 25 (his number at Crewe I believe) Although given Powell said Fergie talked to him about the situation being similar to when he brought Ronaldo in - maybe the #7 is implied in that too.

I would like to see Valencia getting the #7 shirt, I think he deserves it after his fantastic season, but I think Kagawa may be given it.

According to The Sun, Kagawa wants the #10 shirt.

And why would Cleverley change from 23 to 19? Makes no sense

i'm not sure though, it was just a guess mate, i thought he would not get number 7 (at least in a near time) and wearing smaller digits number, again it's just a random guess and very unlikely, cheers

Moon, the ones supposed with no numbers means you think they will be sold / leave for free?

Everyone should keep their number apart from maybe Wellbeck who I wouldn't mind seeing get the number 9 shirt. Valencia has made the 25 shirt his own and there's no way Young should be handed the number 7.

Give Kagawa 7 and Powell 26. I'd like the number 2 shirt reserved for the next big new defensive signing if that ever comes.

Leighton Baines then if he comes.

I am just assuming that Berbatov and Pogba are leaving. I'd like Park and Anderson to be sold. I don't really see Luke Giverin having a future, despite him getting playing time and a squad number in the Dublin Testimonial. And I'm biting on the speculation that Zeki Fryers is leaving too. As for Macheda, has he done anything in the past two seasons to suggest he deserves to stay at United? He has really disappointed me while Welbeck has completely transformed himself into a quality player.
