Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese star is currently on holiday in LA where Fox Sports managed to speak to him in his Beverly Hills hotel. He confirmed the deal and said that he expects to have a medical soon.

“I learned about the deal here in L.A. and have heard from my people that Manchester United has accepted. However I have also been told that Madrid want to have a medical team look at me as expected.”

He also stated that it is “flattering when two of the top teams in the world want you to play for them.”

Unless something drastic shows up during the medical, Ronaldo is expected to finalize his move before the end of the month.

  1. Why will it take so long if he is going get it sorted before the end of the weekend so we can spend the cash .

We want quick replacements to settle quickly.

  2. i can’t believe some of the comments- clearly not from true reds…shows some of the glory hunters and bandwagon junkies this club attracts that they think we will go into meltdown now the perma-tanned one has gone.
this is a club that won trophies before ronnie arrived and will win them again. we are also the same club that survived after the likes of cantona, the great dane, becks, ruud etc left ….it is all about the club and not the individual players.

we are united and we are a collective not concerned with individuals here and there…we will go on…….we only have the greatest manager the game has ever seen who has overcome this same problem time and time again in the past.

hopefully ronnie leaving will see some of the glory hunters jump ship and start signing up for Real forums and head out to the shops to order their white shirt asap.

to the glory hunters – please follow ronnie out the door you paella c**k munchers…we don’t need little girls on here wetting their knickers at the first sign of any trouble.

true reds will look past this and to the possibilities having the money will open up and to a great season next year.

  3. here here scottsati, well said that man…

i agree, keep your eye on sports stores around the country, i bet RM ronaldo shirts will be everywhere.
whats dissappointing is the smaller clubs in the PL will not be able to make money on shirt sales as there will be an ongoing promotion on Ronaldo shirts
sad that sports clothing chains would soon rather promote R.Madrid shirts over homegrown teams. how are they expected to make money

    bring on benzema…or huntelaar

  4. He leaves the club without my respect

As a human being he has no decency or respect

Fergie made him the man he is today

But does he care no way

As a player he was a joy

Scoring goals we could only dream of as boys

We gave him the earth he threw it all back

Losing the fans who wore his name on there back

His fancy flicks and skill on the ball

Standing there taking in raptous applause

But in his heart he wanted Madrid

His mind was set no matter what Fergie did

So all the fans that sang his name

ALL WISH HE FAILS ON HIS BIG DREAM IN SPAIN !!

  5. Great post Scottsati.. have to totally agree with you. Manchester United will again prevail.
I’d also like to add that there has been alot to indicate the Ronny deal was sealed before the start of this season. I have a feeling Sir Alex Ferguson knew about it this whole season. I’d be disappointed if he didn’t. Does anyone really believe that Sir Alex didn’t see 1 of his top players being dragged from under him? Please! Having said that, Sir Alex has had plans as to who will replace CR7 , or at the very least would have had considerable time to consider his options. WE WILL PREVAIL! No player is bigger than Manchester United!

Though many fans are upset, we should also respect what Ronny did for our great club, the joy and thrills he provided us with every time he served the Mighty Red Devils. Thank you Ronny, all the best, i think you will need it in Spain. Hopefully we can give you something to think about someday with a Real Madrid Champions League exit!

United till i die! Glory Glory Man. United!

  6. Ronaldo’s departure made me happy.
Many fans will call me crazy but I was pleased with him leaving OT.
Any player that thinks he’s bigger than the team should leave.
His constant complaints to the refs, flops, reminders of his “dream” to play for
The white shirts, his eye brow tweezing, over tanning, unneccessary trick balling
Ass needs no place here. Beckhams been gone, Ruud’s left before..no difference the same.
United will prevail. No doubt Ronaldo is a great player but his mind being elsewhere
Doesn’t give the team what we signed him for, 100%. I would love to see him struggle
Under the shadows of Lionel Messi in LFP

  8. I dont understand why some people think Sir Alex Ferguson made Ronaldo. It is so strange, why would ferguson make Ronaldo?. Ronaldo learned his football in Lisbon… As if , had he been transfered to Barcelona, Cristiano would not be counted as the best player in the world!!!!????? Fergusen is just a manager , who coaches the whole team, and especially in England managers take transfer decisions…. Ronaldo is probably the best player Man Utd has ever seen.. He is a professional, he is portugese, his heart lies in portugal, Man Utd is done , Real Madrid is something left for his professional career as one of the best players in the world. So whats wrong about that….

What fascinates me is to think of a fantastic la liga ahead.. Great games lie ahead… I hope ibra joins barca and make it star-studded leage once again.
