Ronaldo Transfer To be Finalised

posted on 27/06/09

Cristiano Ronaldo will complete his move to Real Madrid this week after United finalised the agreement with the Spanish club.

The official United website issued the following statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure is all but done and dusted after Real Madrid and Manchester United finalised the agreement for his transfer on Friday evening.

The Portuguese winger was the subject of a world record £80million offer from the Spanish club on Thursday 11 June. He has since been on holiday but a return to work with new employers now beckons, with the sale set to be completed on Wednesday 1 July.

Real madrid confirmed the news on their official website.

Real Madrid and Manchester United have signed the final agreement for the transfer of the rights of the player Cristiano Ronaldo, effective 1st July.

“The player will remain at Real Madrid for the next six seasons and will be presented on 6th July at the Bernabeu stadium.

It’s thought that the £80 million transfer fee will be paid in one lump sum, allowing United to immediately splash the cash in their efforts to bring in reinforcements before the new season.

  1. so now we grab the money and now its the time for transfers
fergie will be back in few days

as for ronaldo i have no respect for someone who tell now never thanked the fans (he admitted that he never spoke to the press in his holiday)

it seems no one wants to play with united (or more specifically “play in england”) the new tax rate is no brainer and it would turn down the foreigners who already prefer Spain and Italy for the weather and the life style

realmadrid seem to be interested in every player we want
they are after ribery valencia and benzema

i can see no point of them wanting valencia as they have better wingers
but maybe they are trying to sign our targets to weaken us
who knows what a club made by a dictator called franco would do ?
they are disgrace to the football world the a failure project

so back on topic i would like to see us signing valencia eto’o and douglas costa
those are reasonable signings who would replace what missed from ronaldo
i would prefer agbonlahor young and valencia but gabby is a villa tell i die and o’neil would never sell us young

i will be dispirit to see someone new

-oops posted it in the wrong blog here is it in the right one

  6. What is Sir Alex doing? Not only has he let Tevez, one of the best strikers in the world, leave the club but now he is getting rid of Ronaldo who is the worlds best player. Although Ronaldo didn’t do as well in the 08-09 season as he did in the 07-08 season he is still one major conponent that got us to the champions league final, won us the league and won us other competitions this season. I know he hasn’t done this single handedly but I think without his amazing tallent and ability to play either wing or up front we would not of won them competitions. He should not be allowed to leave. As for letting Tevez go, that is almost as bad, Berbatov is a fantastic player but I would choose Tevez over berbatov any day. Ferguson needs to stop letting personal relationships affect the club. I have always and will always support Manchester United but I still want to see my club at the top not at the middle or even at the bottom which is where we will end up heading if Ferguson keeps falling out with or forcing out all the best players as he has with Ronaldo and Tevez.

  8. Nobody can really fill the void that is ronaldo leaving; that is, to play in the same style as we have. But we have options, for example valencia and nani, possibly david silva (if he can hack the physical side of the premiership). Thanks for the seasons and the goals ronaldo, but in all honestly we have always sold our big names for big cash, and we have always had a transition season but come off better and thats how i feel about this one.

Lets focus on the FA and Prem this year, CL i believe is not going to be realistic.
