The wavelength being that of winning the Monthly Awards. Both were awarded with the Player of the Month and Manager of the Month respectively.

It’s no surprise to see that our beloved Wayne has grabbed the award for himself after some stunning displays of late, most notably a four goal haul against Hull City and a star performance against Arsenal.

Rooney’s six goals in the month of January saw him thunder to the top of the goal scoring charts in the league sitting him on 20 goals in 23 league games, and it’s a stat that places the Golden boot Award at the end of the season well within Rooney’s reach.
