Vidic is staying put!

Nemanja Vidic has strongly denied rumours linking him to a host of top European clubs over the last week.

The Serbian defender had been linked to Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus, but insists hes happy at United and doesn’t know where the rumours are coming from.

‘I’ve never said anything about Barcelona or Real Madrid or AC Milan – or any club,’ he said. ‘I never speak about my future so I don’t know why someone else does. I showed at Wigan on the pitch how happy I am at this club.

‘Any fan of United only has to see how I played to know how committed I am.’

Vidic was a rock in defence against Wigan so it’s clear he’s still committed to doing well for us.

It’s good to see him come out and quash the rumours. It gets rid of any doubt the fans may have and means the press can’t keep going on about him leaving(though this probably still won’t stop them).

He also dismissed claims that his wife was unsettled in Manchester.

‘It’s not true that my wife is not happy,’ he continued. ‘I don’t know how that rumour came out, she’s not what you’d call a famous wife. She’s never spoken to a newspaper.’

That sounds pretty conclusive to me. Vidic is staying put.
