Agreed. If he said he's only after 1 target and then we bid for Berbatov then Spurs will know we are desperate and increase the price.

Highly probable thought indeed.

Although it seems more sexy and appealing to have Berbatov for the flair etc, but I really think we NEED a Huntelaar more than a Berbatov, given our current mix of players. It will balance things up nicely.

But then again we will never know, especially given the time constraint.
