Arsenal have announced that striker Emmanuel Adebayor has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The Togo international had been strongly linked with a transfer away from Emirates Stadium this summer, with AC Milan and Barcelona both reportedly keen to secure his services.
Adebayor, who signed for Arsenal from Monaco in 2006, initially failed to dispel the rumours surrounding his future, but at the beginning of August it was confirmed he would remain at Arsenal.
The Gunners have now revealed that the 24-year-old, who struck 30 goals last season, has committed his foreseeable future to the club by penning a 'long-term' deal.
