Good morning everyone,

Can you give me some help please?

What is a realistic timescale for travel post match to Picadilly Station taking into account the vast numbers that will be using Old Trafford station.

Can i expect to make a 7.00 pm departure with ease?

Thanks in advance.

ps. Terrible news about Rooney being fit for the opener, i had real hopes of keeping the score down to 1 or 2 this season!!

Ha ha! you a Newcastle fan?! match is on at 4 is it? wont finish till 6 or so, you would really be pushing it to be back in picadilly for 7, you'd have to leave the game 5 mins early to have any chance IMO,
Yes i am a Mag.

I thought it might be tight, explains why i can book that train for me and my boys almost £100 cheaper than the next departure.

Looks like i will be driving then.

Hows parking these days?
Can you still park in the hotel opposite?
Heres what ya do ;)

When you leave...get the tram to the station going away from Piccadilly so get on
it and then get off at Dane Road.

Go to the other platform, and get the tram then thats Old Trafford/Piccadilly
bound, theres normally no one on it...:p..

So then you beat the crowd. You can sit back in peace watching all the people standing
at Old Trafford waiting for the next one.

Works every time....I found out once becuase I was in a rush to get to the airport
so that was the plan that got me out of a sticky sutuation! ;)

Match over at six...make you way down....6:10/6:15....tram to Dane Road, 6:30
maybe, switch over and back to piccadilly...sometime around 7:00 I'd imagine...no
later then 7:10 I'm sure.

Hope thats helped!

yeah the "1 tram stop in opposite direction" usually works a treat.

if not you will be stood with all United fans who as soon as final whistle goes turns into complete k**bheads and would sell rather sell their granny than wait their turn.

Only got tram 3-4 times but seen some ugly scenes of innocent bystanders getting hit in face by people pushing.

There is also a bus stop on Trafford Park side that goes direct to Piccadilly i think. Never used it, seen the queues but not sure how long it would take with traffic as bad as it usually is after final whistle.

Spose tram is free after all!! LOL!!

Nice trick!
Hopefully, United will be about 4 up by about 80 mins so he can leave early! :p

No offence there, just wanting us to win! ;) :p

After last season i would gladly take 4!!!!!

It is my youngest lads first away game so very little chance of leaving early although he is not happy that Ronaldo is not playing, on the other hand i am delighted.

If Rooney, Vidic and Ferdinand could also comply and pick up a little 'one-game' knock i would be eternally grateful.

I take it you are all heart-broken upon hearing the news of Citeh heading for administration?
BEST ADVICE

close your eyes and think of old trafford
you'll be ON THEATRE OF DREAMS

HAHAHA
