Papers again today going with the "Barca deciding whether to let Song go to Old Trafford" headline. Not sure I want him either to be honest. We have Carrick for that role with Fellaini as cover. Sign a box-to-box Moyes!
Song could easily play Box-to-Box, and with Carrick having an inconsistent start to the season I think some quality competition is needed anyway. If he's available then we need to go after him.

Need a more creative option now that we got Fellaini.

I.e upgrade on Anderson/Clev.

Song would be pointless and is alright anyway.

For the apparent £15m I'd definitely take him, but I'd like a Herrera/Gundogan (more offensive creative midfielder) aswell.

Arsenal and Manchester United target Alex Song 'available from Barcelona' for cut-price £10m

The Cameroonian has struggled to hold down a place in Gerardo Martino's side and could be set for a January move back to the Premier League

Return? Song spent eight years at the Emirates before leaving for Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder Alex Song could be available for as little as £10m, with Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly monitoring the situation.

The Cameroonian has struggled to hold down a place in Gerardo Martino's side since swapping North London for the Catalan capital last summer.

With his conversion to a makeshift centre back a failure, he is behind a wealth of international talent in the midfield pecking order with Spanish stars Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Cesc Fabregas all preferred.

Reports in the Daily Star suggest that Barca are now ready to cut him loose - at a £5 million loss - and are prepared to let him leave for just £10 million in January.

Arsene Wenger and David Moyes could now go head-to-head for him as both look to bolster their squads for the second half of the Premier League season.

Wenger would no doubt welcome his former charge back into the Gunners' fold while the Red Devils were linked with a potential move for him this summer.
