But Keane was bigger and more physical than Adu. I don't really rate Adu that highly, he's too small and lightweight for the Premier League and I don't think he really has the ability for any of the major European leagues. His output in terms of creating and scoring goals isn't great in MLS and I think ultimately he'll find it impossible to live up to the praise the American media gave him when he signed for DC United at 14.

Absolutely people get it wrong and I'm certainly not saying Adu should give up his "soccer" (although I'm sure that's not what you meant). I reckon Adu will remain a superstar of the American game and go on to be very successful in Major League Soccer. I just think that's his level and he'd struggle to move up to a higher standard league, but good luck to the lad, I hope he does well.

I don't think any of the top clubs are really interested in Adu. You've got to remember that he can't even get in the full U.S.A. squad. He's only 20 and he's obviosly got potential to be a great player, but i wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in either the Dutch or the German leagues soon.
