Nil-Nil to the Arsenal!!!:D

Thats four 0-0's in a row in the league, yes FOUR.

so,
what's going wrong at Arsenal?
They look a shadow of their former selves going forward.
funnily enough they are actually looking quite solid at the back.
They lost their steel in the summer (Flamini) which was a huge problem early doors,
but now they cant even seem to score :cheers1:
Its strange considering the decent attackers they have.

So what's gone wrong?
and where do you think they will finish in the league?

They are a massive five points behind Villa who have a game in hand at home to Stoke today. Villa will beat Stoke easily and you can see Arsenal play Uefa Cup haily next season. Also they are just 2 points above Everton so if we are lucky enough we can see Arsenal finish 6th this season.

fabregas eduardo rosiksyee all back in next two weeks so i imagine arsenal will improve greatly . O neill publicly admitted he surrendered chance of success in europe to get villa into champions league spot and i see villa in 4th unless loerpool implode further . 5th is the most likely spot for the gunners

I don't like saying this because I actually hate l'arse even more than the dippers. But, 'if' they can get/remain healthy and 'if' they can keep their top players, l'arse could be our main titlle challengers next season.

However, those are two very big 'ifs'.

Should villa win today, I can't see l'arse catching them up for fourth place. If they do not finish in a CL spot, there is a good chance that key players will jump ship - Fabregas is at the top of that list. As a result, l'arse could continue their slide down the table in 09-10.

Ironically, their best chance of CL survival might just be the free-falling shrivelpool. There's no telling how the comical end of yet another title challenge and the endless front office high-jinx will affect them.

Whatever, it should be fun to watch. :eyepopping:

Arsene Wenger has always "young squad", but it lasts several years now! It seems he'll always have "young squad" which won't win anything. They are just "prospects". Their team lack matured players.

Frankly, I am satisfied with their current inability to score goals. I wish Aston Villa ends above them in PL.
Arsenal will be fifth.

And I bet e.g. Fabregas doesn't like it that Arsenal haven't won a single trophy in 3 years (I think).

there really off the boil this yr! wen villa went fourth it was funny, now im startin to feel sorry for the gooners.... not! so there now there gone 4 games 0-0, the 1-0 in CL against roma was a pen, personally i think their impotence in front of goal is a result of a llack of confidence. i dont think the players believ they can catch villa, so in their logic scoring and winnin still wont make a diff in where they finish. bit of an odd theory i know!

secondly injuries, there missing the fulcrum of their of there side in flabergast. he will be a big boost for them when he comes back to run the midfield. eduardo will get the goals wen he gets back in the team as his 2 goals against cardiff showed. but as said in prev posts, they need a tough tackling CM too.

I think they will finish 5th but couldn rule out 4th.

In the last match a point was the least Fulham deserved.
The draw was Arsenal's fifth in a row in the league and is another blow to their Champions League qualifying hopes.
If they don't Improve they will be playing in Uefa cup next season;)
