It was a relatively quiet week for many of Asia's stars who ply their trade out west in Europe's biggest league. Goal.com Asia takes a look…
Makoto Hasebe (Japan and Wolfsburg)
Hasebe came on at half-time and helped Wolfsburg pick up a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Energie Cottbus.
Park Chu-young (South Korea and AS Monaco)
Monaco's October Player of the Month was withdrawn near the end as the seven-time French champions lost 1-0 to Lyon.
Hussein Sulimani (Saudi Arabia and Neuchatel Xamax)
The defender missed the match as his team lost 3-2 to Young Boys.
Takayuki Morimoto (Japan and Catania)
The young striker sat on the bench for the full game as Catania defeated rivals Cagliari.
Shao Jiayi (China and Energie Cottbus)
The midfielder stayed on the bench as Cottbus lost 3-0 at Wolfsburg. The eastern team stay bottom.
Masoud Shojaei (Iran and Osasuna)
Came on with 18 minutes remaining as Osasuna ended a run of three defeats with a goalless draw against Atletico Madrid.
Park Ji-sung (South Korea and Manchester United)
Park played the full ninety and was probably United's best player as the Red Devils lost 2-1 at Arsenal. The Korean was full of running as always and his use of possession and movement caused problems for Arsenal.
Youssef Mohamad (Lebanon and FC Koln)
The defender was again impressive as Koln kept pace with the leaders with a 2-1 win at home to Bochum.
Shinji Ono (Japan and Bochum)
Ono was nowhere to be seen as Bochum held Werder Bremen to a goalless draw.
Lee Young-pyo (South Korea and Borussia Dortmund)
Lee played the whole game as a stuttering Dortmund team went down 2-1 at Hamburg.
Javad Nekounam (Iran and Osasuna)
The midfielder played the whole game –except for the last nine minutes – as Osasuna drew 0-0 with Atletico Madrid. The Pamplona team are still without a win.
Shunsuke Nakamura (Japan and Celtic)
The playmaker has been suffering from a string of niggling injuries of late and picked up an ankle knock in training. He could even miss Japan's World Cup qualifier next week.
Vahid Hashemian (Iran and Bochum)
The helicopter came off the bench two-thirds of the way through Bochum's 0-0 draw at home to Werder Bremen.
Junichi Inamoto (Japan and Eintracht Frankfurt)
Inamoto is aiming to shake off a hamstring injury for Frankfurt's match next weekend and if he does so, he may return to the Japan team for their game in Qatar on November 19.
Roda Antar (Lebanon and Koln)
Another good game for Antar and he played well as Koln continued their strong start to the season with a 2-1 win against Bochum.
Kim Do-heon (South Korea and West Brom)
Not a bad start at Liverpool for Kim but the midfielder was withdrawn before the hour as West Brom went down 3-0 at Anfield.
Daisuke Matsui (Japan and St Etienne)
It is going from bad to worse for Les Verts and Matsui was probably happy to sit out the match in which his team lost 3-0 at home to Rennes.
Mehdi Mahdavikia (Iran and Eintracht Frankfurt)
Kia was left out of the squad as Frankfurt drew 2-2 with Stuttgart.
Seol Ki-hyeon (South Korea and Fulham)
Seol didn't make the squad as Fulham defeated Newcastle.
Andranik Teymourian (Iran and Fulham)
Teymourian was not in the squad either.
Ali Al Habsi (Oman and Bolton)
A familiar story for the giant goalkeeper who was an unused substitute as Bolton defeated Hull.
