Hi all

dont know if this is anything we have to worry about but it may be wise to check.

the health and safety act states All banners or flags over a certain size have to be coated in a fire retardant solution by a certifieid applicator (other words you need a certificate to say it has been done)???? is this going to the case at old trafford next season????

one ground has already had to do this

The best bet is to go to Stretford End Flags

And make a post on their forums, or e-mail them. There are a number of lads on there who now about the rules about flags at Old Trafford. Obviously, stick around here too though.

From what I know of, the fire certificate is for permanent flags in the stadium, like the banners over on the Stretford End Tier Two. You should be alright, as there are loads of flags in the stadium.

Again, the lads at SEF will know.
