To take part listeners need to text the word vote followed by:
1 for Mohamed Aboutrika
2 for Emmanuel Adebayor
3 for Didier Drogba
4 for Samuel Eto'o
5 for Amr Zaki
The text vote opens at 1700 GMT on December 1 and closes at 1700 GMT on January 9.
Charges will differ from country to country so please check costs with your network provider. If you text after the vote has closed your vote may not count but you could still be charged.
The winner will be announced on Fast Track on 16 January 2009.
