And in hindsight, it was probably a good idea to sell him when his image became larger than that of the club. Like all players, his game has deteriorated because he hasn't been afforded the requisite on-pitch time.

Kudos to him however, for categorically stating that he wouldn't ever play for an EPL team other than Manchester United again. With Sir Alex looking extremely strong to carry on as the Boss for some time to come, a return to Old Trafford now seems more impossible than improbable.
