Fabio Capello has named a 23-man squad for his final friendly before the World Cup qualifiers begin, with Czech Republic the opponents at Wembley on Wednesday evening.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart keeps his place in the senior squad having earned his first cap as a substitute in the last England match - away to Trinidad and Tobago.

Emile Heskey is included having missed out through injury after being selected in Fabio Capello's first squad ahead of the friendly with Switzerland. Portsmouth forward Jermain Defoe is also in the squad having bagged a brace during England's last outing.

West Ham United forward Dean Ashton has not been selected due to injury.

After taking on Petr Rada's Czech Republic side, England face Andorra away on Saturday 6 September before meeting Croatia four days later in Zagreb.

Carrick has finally made it. He should always be in the squad imo.
Im suprised Hesky is in the team and Upson.

Glen Johnson i think is top class.... played so well last year with a run of games with Portsmouth, i think he might eventually be Englands first choice Rb.
what ya think??
We'll see where they slot Richards. Since Richards can play either CB or RB efficiently, its up to the manager. However England tend to always have 3-4 good centerbacks, so it would be ideal for Richards to play RB (better than on the bench).

Johnson is a quality player, and will for sure be in the squad for years to come.
