Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick believes that their ruthless style of play makes them impossible to contain.
The Red Devils are back in top form after some poor displays that saw them concede a five point lead to Arsenal.
The gap is back down to two points, and with the Gunners going through a lean phase, and having some injury concerns too, the momentum is firmly with Sir Alex Ferguson's boys.
What has added to the confidence is their ability to score goals, and Carrick believes that the sheer pace with which they attack makes them impossible to contain.
"It's very satisfying when it all comes together like this because that's the standard we set ourselves," he said.
"We're finishing strongly at the moment. We have so much pace and when we attack with speed, we cause any team problems.
"Everyone contributes but the front four or five provide that pace and Ronaldo is phenomenal, he just puts away his chances with ease."
However, the midfielder is aware that there are certain to be more twists and turns on the way.
"With Arsenal drawing [2-2 with Birmingham], we knew before kick-off it would be a big three points for us," he said. "There are bound to be ups and downs before the end of the season but in the end it was a good day for us, closing the gap on them and doing our goal difference the power of good.
"We were happy at half-time but didn't really play great in the second-half, maybe we were a bit comfortable. Then as soon as they scored, we put the game to bed."
