Petr Cech's agent claims an unnamed club is prepared to make a 40 million euros (£30million) bid for the Chelsea goalkeeper.

The Czech Republic international is widely regarded as one of the best keepers in Europe following his exploits at Stamford Bridge.

Cech's agent Pavel Zika admits there is a long list of clubs interested in the giant custodian, but says it is unlikely Chelsea would be prepared to sell the keeper.

"I know a big European club which would be willing to pay 40 million euros [for Cech]," Zika told Czech daily Pravo.

"A few weeks ago a club director in charge of those kind of matters told me [of the interest].

"It is an unbelievable sum for a goalkeeper. I cannot name the club. They would have problems as even such an inquiry could be understood as a breach of rules.

"Some of the top ten European clubs have been probing our agency but I will not say which ones they are.

"Also their offers have been around 40 million euros."

Zika also revealed they will seek talks over an improved contract for Cech at the end of the season.

"I cannot speak for Chelsea, but I believe they are absolutely satisfied with Cech and vice versa.

"After the season we will be revising Petr's current contract and negotiate a raise."

I've heard about this but Cech is happy where he is. He's at a team capable of winning trophies and Abramovich doesn't need money so he'll never sell.

Don't think he's worth 30M.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he did leave Chelsea over the summer.

Be very interested though to find out the club who ae willing to buy.

He's top class, no doubt, but nothing like when we first saw him.....

When I first saw him, he conceded 3 goals within 30 minutes by czech province club Blsany.

But I admit he is not at his best at the moment.

seems like chelsea are about to lose a few important players if some of the rumours are true,some of their players certainly don't like finishing second i strongly suspect at least 3 will leave the premiership this summer.

I would certainly agree with all of that.

My guess though would be AC Milan, as they've been lacking a top goalkeeper for a long time. Also, its rumoured Mourinho will take over.

this is just the usual agent drumming up supposed interest so as to get his player and himself more money on the next contract

I wonder who offered that surely it can only be Barca, because Madrid have Casillas and Milan have Dida and there really the only ones with the money.

Who knows, Cech may decide its best to have a new challenge.

Hes been at Chelsea for what, 4 years now? And he certainly hasn't been the same player since he came back from that injury, so maybe hes decided to move on (if the rumours are true, of course)

And, since he was complaining about protection for goalkeepers, hes maybe decided to go a 'less physical' League.
