Hello all. I am a Celtic fan and I come in peace. I joined specifically to ask you all your reaction to the draw and how you think yous will fare against Celtic? The two legs a few years ago were excellent games and I was lucky enough to be at the game in Celtic Park.

To be honest I dont follow the English Premiership much (other than watching Match of the Day every weekend) but I do like to see Man United do well as you play some excellent football which is an absolute joy to watch.

Furthermore, I absolutley hate Chelsea like you all do as well, they have connections with Rangers and a neo-Nazi element so I really enjoyed yous pumping them in last years final.

I'll hopefully be at the Celtic Park leg again this year and am looking forward to it. And dont worry, our fans are nothing like Rangers, we wont destroy your city, we come in peace :D

Hey mate and welcome. We have a few Celtic fans on here, mainly the Irish lads,
so its great we got Cetic. The games and atmosphere are always top notch.
Dont think you will fare too well against us though. If you got 1 point from 6
that would be decent imo. Anyway, Im sure you bhoys wont wreck Manchester
like the Rangers lot, although yis arent always on your best behaviour lol.

as a celtic fan i love these games, but utd come first as my first and true love..
the atmosphere is amazing and the games are always open affairs with plenty of meaty tackles from both sides , its the tie of the group for me.

welcome to the forum bhoy.........

Thanks for the welcome. Heres my predictions for the group stage, (just my opinion of course so dont shoot me down people):

* We should beat Aalborg home and away

* We'll beat Villareal at Parkhead and lose in the away leg

* We'll beat or draw with Man United and lose at Old Trafford.

So, all in all, I think we should muster up enough points to take us into the last 16 but this is in no way an easy group for us. Alborg are an unknown quantity so they'll be treating every game like a cup final so the 6 points I predicted us getting could come back to haunt us.

Villareal have always been a decent enough side, but as far as I know Riquelme and Forlan are gone? They will be very tough to beat in Spain and keep posession well so i'll be happy for 3 out of 6 points.

Man United, well this will obviously be our biggest test. Put it into perspective, Ronaldo alone is worth more than our entire squad lol. In saying that though I am always confident of a win at Celtic Park against anyone in Europe. We beat AC Milan, Man United, Benfica etc... in Parkhead recently and gave Barca a run for their money even though they eventually beat us 3-2.

I think Celtic could make it through this season. It all depends on whether Villareal are the same team we saw last season or whether they fall apart

under the pressure of trying to live up to inflated expectations.

welcome mate , i think this time round we will beat you home and away .
last time we played you we were not as good as we are now especially if we get berbatov.
we already know you are nothing like glasgow rangers , celtic have visited old trafford many time without any trouble although the last time there were a few skirmishes because your fans got into every part of our ground and celebrated your two goals wildly

Don't like either of the Old Firm.
Me neither, but I prefer Celtic to Rangers.

I just knew when Celtic were pulled out that it was going to be us!

My mum is a huge Celtic supporter and when they beat us at Old Trafford, I never heard the end of it!

For both games, it'll be me against everyone else in my family probably  But n/m.

As for the two games, I think we'll win quite comfortably at Old Trafford and we'll draw at Celtic Park (thats if we're not already through)

Celtic fans are great supporters though, so it should be two good ties.

In general though, its a decent group. Of course Villareal are a good team, and it will be hard away from home, and Aalborg are an unknown quantity. Its possibly the hardest group of the English clubs, but I'm looking forward to it.
