Getafe v Valencia Today

Who are you supporting ?

A Copa del Rey trophy will likely help ease Getafe's painful exit from the UEFA Cup. For Valencia, Wednesday's match is a lifeline to Europe that could have consequences on the future of the team — and the future of coach Ronald Koeman.

"Football owes us one," Getafe president Angel Torres said after the UEFA Cup exit.
Valencia, a six-time Copa del Rey champion, lost to Racing Santander 2-1 Saturday and is five points above the relegation zone.

While Getafe will be able to reflect on one of their best-ever seasons no matter what happens on Wednesday night, the same certainly cannot be said for opponents Valencia. Dismal on-field results, changes in coach and president, exiled players, an early exit from Europe and a possible relegation dogfight means few at Valencia will regard the 2007/08 season as one to remember.

I tip Getafe to win back some price after cruelly going out of the UEFA cup to undeserving Bayern München.

that's if they have Ustari in goal. if not, then it's be Valencia.

Ronald Koeman is out of Valencia regardless of if they win it or not.

Don't really care who wins. I'll probably try watching the game merely because it'd be my first time seeing the Copa Del Rey Final

David Villa has been quoted in the press saying that he favours a move to Arsenal. If that is the case then I want Valencia to win because if they are not in Europe next season then Villa will definitely leave.
