Reports in the media for the last few days have highlighted the sad demise of
arguably one of England’s greatest ever players.
Some say Gazza was the complete package. He had poise, skill and that natural
ability to do the un-thinkable.
But, where did it go wrong?
Was it a lack of direction?
If he’d had the right man behind, would it have been a different story?
Apart from Rooney, has this country produced another player to rival Gazza ?
Look at Sir Alex’s relationship with the bad boys and the players who could be
considered eccentric or difficult.
Eric Cantona being the best example I can think of.
What do you think ?
Could Fergie have tamed the wild Geordie beast that was Paul Gascoigne.
Or was Gazza always on a self destruct course no matter what ?
