Spanish side Sevilla have rejected two bids of more than £20m from unknown clubs for Daniel Alves, who has made it clear he wants to join Chelsea.

On Friday president Jose Maria del Nido said: "Sevilla has rejected two offers for Daniel.

"One was for 31.5m euros (£21.3m) and the other for 35m euros (£23.7m)."

Ok, Alves is a great player but paying more then £23m for a fullback?!...Is that a sign of Chelsea being desperate?? :D

remember philips??.. they splashed like a ton of money to buy a bench warmer (at that time).. i reckon they are pulling the same stunt again to make everyone remember who chelsea is.. anyway Daniel may be a good player but hes defenitly not worth 23.7m pounds :D..

Ive see a few games Sevilla played in La Liga the last few seasons and Alves have been a top player week after week but as you all say...the price tag is a joke!

He's probably the best attacking full back in the game at the mo'. Not sure if he's worth 25m+ though.
was'nt ashley cole the best attacking full back in the prem when he was at arsenal? look at him now he's not allowed past the halfway line

heard that abramovic would not let the money go fprward for alves ha ha ha how i laughted
yeah Abramovic is being pretty 'tight' with his money now......he's let Mourinho have unlimited cash for a few seasons and now i think he wants to see the team perform without having to spend millions every transfer window.
