There are a couple of threads running about great/favourite United teams and interestingly Dennis Irwin gets a good few mentions. For me he was the supreme pro for UTD--- a totally class act.No fuss,no drama,never in the papers and just sublime on the ball. We hear it all the time for our heroes of the past and they are always forwards /attacking mid-fielders.This guy was a brilliantly accomplished footballer who was an unheralded back and a genius at his craft. Dennis you were an absolute star! :thumbsup:

have to agree . also had best free kick in the league and would have scored far more but let giggsy then becks/cantona have them .

One of my all time favourite United players. He got an 8/10 in EVERY game he played. Denis was so consistent and reliable and went about his business with very little fuss. Easily the best left back to have graced the Premiership.
