What an awsome player he is. Surprised to hear he is 30, for such a terrific player it took him a while to hit the top. But Liverpool didn't know how to handle him, he must be a nightmare for defenders.

Even in the goal he set up for Ballack against us he showed a lot of class and power. He always plays well in the big games, and he is obviously their biggest threat come May 21.

So Rio made Etoo look like an ordinary player in the semi final (both legs). This is Rio and particularly Vidic's biggest test so far. Can they keep him quiet?

when drogba is on his game, i doubt there is any defence in the world that can completely shut him down. however, vidic and ferdinand are probably the only centre pairing that can minimise the damage done by drogba. in moscow, i think we will need our forwards to be on their game also, because i think chelsea will score against us, and we will need to score more than them to bring home the trophy

Vidic will keep him quiet ... when things go his way he can be a superb player but he is a cheat and a man of his strength shouldn't fall over as easily! Our main worry is getting passed their defense, im confident we can keep anyone at bay... we need rooney and tevez in top form, cech is a weaker player now and right back is an issue for them ... their midfield lacks steal when essien is forced to right back... im queitly confident we'll win!

Vidic shoild be able to cope with the strength and areal threat of Drogba and with Ferdinand picking up the pieces, our defence should be able to cope with their attackers. But it is their midfield that worries me. Our midfield does not have enough steel to cope with the brute strength of players like Essien, Ballack and Mikel. We should concentrate on our midfield's superior technical abilities and creativity as we cannot match them physically. We have to score more than them coz i think they will score against us.

I dislike him for his antics and diving etc...but it has to be said that he is a
world class player and probably one of the best centre forwards in the world.
He just brushes the biggest of defenders aside.
Though I reckon the beast Vidic will be a match for him in Moscow.
If anyone can outmuscle Drogba, its Vida.

He is a fantastic player when he stays on his feet.

But, like in the first leg, he's always on the ground.

I would take him for United was it not for him going to ground nearly all the time. He's on the floor more than hes on his feet.

But I expect Vidic to mark him out the game. He only lost him once in the FA Cup final, and he managed to score. Vidic can mark anyone out of the game ;)

I was really impressed with him vs Liverpoo in the 2nd leg. He really cleaned up his act in that game. So much times I thought 'oh no, here comes another oscar winning dive from drogba', but no he stayed on his feet! He was giving Carragher a really tough time and I was really happy to see him staying on his feet and fighting for each ball and he got what he deserved - 2 goals. I always did think he was a good striker but his diving was a little too much and over the top but if he can play like he did in the 2nd Semi Leg every game, he would really be one of the best centre forwards in the world imo
